Hi, thinking about buying a high frequency device. I am struggling with acne and it was recommended by a friend who is an esthetician. I have heard that it works for some people for acne but not others so I don't want to buy the 200$ machine from palacia.
If i order 30$ machine on amazon( the darsonaval type) to test it out, is that going to give me a good idea if it will work for me for acne before investing more?
I'm also interested in helps for collagen building, skin texture and hair thinning - heard that it can treat these too?
I'm 44, dealing with acne, crepey skin starting on my neck, normal facial wtinkles, fat loss in face, hair thinning.

Beestherbub,
One thing to note is that High Frequency for anti aging uses Neon (orange) and those for acne use Argon (violet). I have no experience with the Argon but the reviews for them being helpful with acne are pretty positive.
The more expensive ones should have a higher oscillation rate but a cheaper one should definitely give you an idea if this would be helpful for you. I've seen some reviewers claim they can't tell the difference.
I have a high frequency device and I do like it but it keeps getting trumped over by other devices and procedures. Still, every time that I do use mine I do wonder why I don't use it more.
My skin always looks better after a treatment. |

I have a cheap one (it has orange lite, didn't know there is a violet one) and a Dermawand that wasn't cheap at all. Now days I use only the cheap one - has bigger working area. I use it when I have an acne from time to time and the gadget manages to kill it quickly - in fact the bump doesn't even grow up.
Warmly recommended |
