I have dermarolled for a few months with a .25mm roller and recently bought a .5mm roller. I rolled with the .5mm roller over face and neck last Monday. Had a little itching and flaking on face in first few days but nothing major.
In just the past few days, my neck has begin to itch like crazy! It was fine until a few days ago. There is a little redness, but not much. Just itchiness in the areas I rolled. Cortizone cream and aloe help a little, but it doesn't seem to be getting much better. Is this normal?
I noticed my .5mm roller was slightly "dragging" on my skin a few times even though it was new and upon further inspection after I was done I saw it was broken (one side of the spindle had cracked and would occasionally catch). However, I didn't have any problems when rolling my neck, so I don't believe that would be an issue here. |

I just washed off the lotion I had put on my skin (I've been trying to keep it hydrated thinking that would help) and it seems to have stopped a lot of the itching. I am guessing I must have some minor scratching from the rolling.
I haven't had this in the the past... do you think this is because I used a deeper roller, or potentially because it was catching occasionally? Like I said, it only caught once or twice, but I suppose it could have been malfunctioning and not rolling as well as it should have been without me noticing. I'm only noticing this on my neck and jawline. |

I think the skin may be allergic or injured, should stop action immediately, let the skin restore health! |
