I've always used shampoo, is there a better way? Thanks in advance How often is it suggested we clean them? |

I clean my brushes every Sunday, except my foundation brush - that gets cleaned after every use. |

Mild shampoo as well every week. make sure the water isn't too hot and dry either flat or hanging upside down, to keep the hairs good |

Yes, baby shampoo or own shampoo, or even face cleanser if desparate. I think Jane Iredale and co. make their own brush cleanser- I don't think it is really worth spending money on, when shampoo or whatever will do instead.
I would also say at least once a week wash, but it depends on how often you use the brush. I usually wipe mine a little then dry flat on a towel on the bathroom bench.
Gosh, would never have thought to have so much to say about brush cleaning techniques. Bit crazy maybe.
