so ive been using skinceuticals physical sunblock spf30...i like it but at the same time it feels a bit greasy for me...and when i first put it on i cant help but feel like casper. im alreayd white enough as it is...then when i go to put my mineral makeup on..it doesnt go on and look natural. if i have dry skin, the sunblock lets it show...maybe im using too much sunblock? I really dont think i am though..just a quarter size amount. i'd hate to give this stuff up and try a new sunscreen..but if anyone can give me advice on how to fix this problem i would be greatly please. |

I'm not sure if you're having problems with the product being too greasy or too drying for you. If your skin is looking dry, put moisturizer under the sunblock (that's what I do). If it's greasy, the mineral makeup should absorb a bit of it. |

before i put it on, my skin looks perfectly fine...i always use moisturizer then sunscreen..but i think the white cast of the sunscreen brings out any dry flakes i may have on my skin. even if i exfoliate..my skin gets dry spots out of nowhere...i have very evil skin. I'm not sure what i should do..my skin is great with just the mineral makeup...you dont see any dryness.. |

Sounds like the sunblock is oil free. You might want a more moisturizing chemical free sunblock. I'm sure your skin's not evil - it's just telling you what it likes and doesn't like. |

If you're already using a mineral foundation, then you may want to try a chemical sunscreen instead. Since the skinceuticals is a mineral sunscreen, you are just layering on the minerals and that's making your foundation look different.
A chemical sunscreen would also be more emollient; that might help with the dryness. |

i have yet to find a sunscreen that goes on without feeling greasy and like i have 10 lbs on me...and since my skin is sensitive..im paranoid that using one with chemicals might just make my mild rosacea worse. i wish i could find a non chemical without too much of a whitening effect and felt nice on my skin. |

The Skinceuticals physical one that you are using contains micronised Zinc Oxide and non-micronised titanium dioxide. What this means is that you will get a whitening effect from the titanium dioxide.
You may want to try Peter Thomas Roth's "Ultra Lite Titanium Dioxide Sunblock SPF 30". It says micronised agents on his website. |
