While researching sunless tan salons, I noticed some of them offer RLT beds. I'm curious what the reviews are. They claim to improve skin tone and elasticity, boost collagen, etc.
One offers a Slimpod which is Thermal Dynamic energy that promises the above, plus massage, detoxify, reduce cellulite as well as cardiovascular conditioning.
I'm a skeptic by nature but these are nice spas so I'm curious if anyone has had success on what they promise? |

I am a little weary of these too. however, I'm also thinking that for people on Retin A, these may not be such a good idea as it makes the skin more photosensitive. |

Good point about Retin-A. I've been a faithful for years. Some dermatologists/med spas offer RLT but my guess is their options are much stronger. |

I have the PlatinumLED Therapy Light at home. I sit in front of it and yes they’re helpful for skin health, inflammation pain etc. they’re pricey but convenient to have at home. It hangs on my closet door, I pull a stool out and sit in front of it 15-20 minutes w a few minutes on my face. Like everything else consistently is key. |

Theresa - Do you think the same for retin-a users and the home red light masks? I just picked one up. I found that Dr. Dray said that for the home masks, retin-a can be used at the same time, but to be applied after use of the mask, as the light can degrade certain formulations. I am concerned about the warmth of the mask trigger melasma. In case anyone interested in what she has to say:
