Hey there DIY skin care enthusiasts!

I've been using natural methods to smooth my forehead skin, fascia and muscles over the past year and wrote a summary about my current forehead smoothing practices that includes before and after photos. When using DIY skincare tools, I can feel that the fascia and muscle indentations beneath the forehead lines have softened over time. After compiling the before/after photos I can see the difference. It is subtle. What do you think?

Read the article and view the images here:

Take good care of yourselves!

There are definitely some good changes. I think its showing off but I'm wondering whether there is any way you can take it up a level?

I cant see any trigger book that you mentioned, and there isn't any books under your "Favourite Products" segment. There is a link to Amazon? What am I missing?

TheresaMary,

I don’t understand what you mean by showing off? Would you elaborate?

I also can feel and see the difference. It’s a big deal to me because it means that I can perhaps prevent these minor lines from getting worse over time. Besides, there are other benefits from this practice.

I am now using Sanford Bennett’s wrinkle rubout using trigger point therapy tools instead of my hands for the massage. This feels like a stronger method and I will be testing it.

Best wishes to you.

It's a pleasant thing. It shows that massage can help the skin. I'll try it, too.

Sorry I realised that my sense of humour isn't always understood by everyone. I mean the results are noticable and your efforts have definitely worked and so I was joking with the "showing off" comment (in that you have achieved what a lot of us desire to).

Thank you for sharing the book title and author.

Ah, ok. Yes, I did not want to show off ha ha but did want to share that I had achieved some results.

To address any body aches/pains I use this book.

The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief (A New Harbinger Self-Help Workbook)

I apply the concepts in this book to doing facial trigger point therapy.

Have a good day!

Wow! Impressive! In your article, you mentioned the use of Frownies or pads. Did you stop using them for any particular reason?

I do like the Furless transparent patches for "11". These are gentle enough for sensitive skin and available at EDS.

Hi Autumn,

Thank you! I appreciate your feedback Smile

Interestingly, the photos are primarily random face shots showing my resting forehead expression. The photos do supply evidence of how my resting forehead expression has changed and remained over time.

Another motivation besides a smooth forehead is that it feels serene when one is not holding facial muscles in a flexed state during normal facial expression.

I use and rely on Frownies every night. I wish that I could invent a DIY alternative. I have some ideas, but not enough time Smile

Facial pads definitely stop facial muscles from contracting during sleep (or waking hours) helping to change muscle contraction habits which impacts muscle memory over time.

I will check out the furless.

Thank you!
