Hello everyone. I have a problem with my DIY vitamin C serum.
Every recipe I make I get crystals laying around in it after two to three days.
I do dissolve my vitamin c first in warm distilled water. I then add glycerin and sometimes msm or/and ferulic acid solution (fa + propylene glycol) and vitamin E.
I get a food grade pure vitamin c crystals because the are very cheap comparing to cosmetic grade ultra fine one. Is this the problem? Has anyone had any luck with food grace crystals making a serum which does not recrystallize in the bottle? |

Bump.... I'd like to know too. I have a food grade but it is pure l-ascorbic, just not the super fine stuff...I have to shake mine for five minutes. |
