Hello all, haven't been here in forever (my signature has my age as 46 so it has been a while) and really wanting to focus on better skin care. I currently have a cart filled online with Caudalie products: 1) Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask, 2) Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Night Cream, 3) Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essense, 4) Caudalie Vinoperfect Instant Brightening Moisturizer and 5) Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum with coupon come to $232 which I am willing to pay. Then I found The Original products that seem much less expensive. Is the Caudalie brand worth it? I have sun damage and at 58 years old some wrinkles; I'd also say I have normal skin, not dry and not oily. I've been told I don't look 58 but I'd like to keep it that way. Do any of you have thoughts on these 2 brands in regards to my goal and "mature skin"? I also need a good everyday sunscreen that would go with my routine. Anyone know about Blessing Tree Sunscreen? Thank you in advance.

My apologies I meant The Ordinary. Maybe spell check changed my word.

The Ordinary products are great, based on real science and without any junk. I use a lot of their products and another one of their lines called Hylamide.

Go to their website https://deciem.com/ and read some of the reviews to get an idea of what will suit your skin. They also have a help line if you need advice.

There is no real reason for skin care to be overpriced in my view - many companies just spend a lot on marketing hype.

I found Caudalie very irritating, a disappointment since I waited years to try them. But it makes sense because my skin doesn't react so well to very fragrant skin care even if "natural".

I am not a huge fan of the Ordinary, nothing has wowed me. I found the Ordinary's sister brand, NIOD, much better but have not repurchased the things I have tried.

I'd probably recommend you start retin-a, if you haven't already. I tend to use more basic products like La Roche Posay or Cerave these days but with potent actives closer to the skin. I did place an order for Biossance products as my sister has been raving about the omega cream forever.
