Many years ago I randomly purchased a cheap ultrasonic skin scrubber from ebay to use for cleaning my face. I used it a bit too aggressively, ended up damaging my skin a bit and so left it in a box until last week when I randomly tried it out again and used it to cleanse with and then I tried the lift and tone mode.
It was fine nothing special but when I woke up the next morning my under eye area was significantly brighter. Af first I though it was as the result of the tria eye laser I am testing out but after a couple of days the darkness returned even though I was still using the tria. So I tried the ultrasonic scrubber again on life and tone mode and again my skin looked better instantly and my dark circles were much improved. My dark circles are the sort caused by very pale, translucent skin and the old blood pools under the eye area and show through purple, I don't really have bags or puffiness just slight indents where my cheek and eye meets.
This ultrasonic thing is the only thing that has worked for my dark circles, ever. I've tried laser, massage, dermal needling, nuface, nuface fix, led treatments and that Iris Foreo, nothing shifts that purple shadow but this has.
So I am now curious about other ultrasonic / ultrasound devices? I am nervous to use it too close to my eye area and I guess I have concerns about my device being a cheap ebay item.
I am also concerned about the issue of fat loss from ultrasound devices as these are even used in spas for "Ultrasound Fat Cavitation". Having said that nearly every antiaging device or proceedure has people claiming it caused fat loss or skin damage from facial massage to laser, chemical peels and needling. I also read an article written by a plastic surgeon about his experiance of finding scarring in the deeper tissues of patients who had previously had HIFU (a form of ultrasound) facials but in my experiance plastic surgeons are often very negative about non-surgical interventions.
Does anyone have any experiance of using ultrasound for dark circles as well as general skin plumping and lifting?
What devices are recommened? I'm in the UK so have been looking at the mira-skin and the JeNu Plus Ultrasonic Infuser. But I see other ultrasound devices on the market for the body and pain, would these be ok for the face or could they cause fat loss.
I see that different devices se different Mhz between 1 and 3 does anyone have any informtion on that?
Any advice or experiances would be really interesting! |
