Now, *this* is a nice body exfoliant! And I just found out that it has been discontinued! Oh well, I'll review it anyway....
I had a sachet of this to use and finally used it in the shower this morning. Basically, this is a really nice salt scrub. It smells gorgoeus (very citrusy) and it's not too rough but still very effective. I applied this all over wet skin and then massaged it in quite vigorously for a few minutes. Then I left it on for about ten minutes, massaged it in again and then rinsed off. I have smooth soft skin (which has lately been neglected due to working late hours) and my body is perfectly moisturised. In fact, I would suggest that this be used at night because it leaves the body really well oiled up. After I got out of the shower I just patted my skin dry and walked around for a while (yes, naked) to let the oils absorb a bit. That was a few hours ago and my skin feels fab! The scent does stick around though so even now I smell a bit lemony
The ingredients in this are: salt, sweet almond oil, safflower oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, rice bran oil, cinnamon oil, camphor extract, ascorbyl palmitate and a few other things I don't readily recognise.
It's great stuff and I would like to get something similar. I had a look at the Orlane catalogue but I don't think they have replaced this with anything after discontinuing. I have tried making my own salt scrub before and while it was good, it wasn't anywhere near as nice as this |

I've never used a salt scrub but I absolutely adore the brown sugar scrub I use. (It's brown sugar and almond oil - this one is by Origins but there are a bunch of them out there...)
I just LOVE the way my skin looks after I've used it. Plus after the naked walk around (yeah I do it too.... ), my skin is left with the most gorgeous sheen from the almond oil. Feels great too . |

Katee - I haven't used the Origins sugar scrub but I have used the one from Credentials and the Orlane salt scrub is miles better in terms of the result. I also don't have ants making a bee-line for my shower after using it
My skin today is unbelievably smooth given that I only used that scrub once. I can usually achieve this effect with regular body brushing and exfoliation but it takes some time. The Orlane exfoliating pack seems to be a nice quick fix. |
