Hey,
I am going to get JL when I'm back to Vancouver... I was just wondering if I need to buy their brushes? Is it mandatory to have their brushes in order to have smooth application of the powder?

Is JL Jane Iredale? I get confused with all the abbreviations, sorry!
Anyway, I think their brushes are designed for mineral makeup, however you probbaly don't need a whole set (they will try and sell it to you). I think Mabsy (?) said white fan brush is crap, so not that one. Maybe just one to apply the powder properly, as the brush picks up the minerals all through its fibres and then evenly distributes them over your face and buffs the finish at the same time. Not sure if an oridnary brush would do this.
Hope this helps

If you're going to get one brush for applying mineral powder foundations (particularly the pressed one) then it should in my opinion be the Jane Iredale Handi Brush. This brush, by far, gives me the best (and easiest) application for my mineral foundation and I have a LOT of brushes. I also like the JI eyeshadow brushes, but, as Maddy mentioned, I am very disappointed with their fan brush. |
