Whats the best self tan product for very fair skin. I have very fair skin even though i have very very dark brown hair (must be cos my dad was polish) and i have green eyes, and i find it hard to find a self tan that is light enough and natural looking any ideas? |

I've really liked the St Tropez fake tan for a nice darker, yet very natural looking, tan. I also do use L'Oreal Sublime sometimes for a much lighter tan. I have not yet tried the Jergen's one although I'm definitely going to give it a go as soon as I get my little paws on it.....
Btw, I am Polish and have very fair skin and very dark brown hair |

I can't wait to try out the Jergens stuff. Carrie is sending it over to me. Yay for Carrie! |

Ooooh I can't wait to try this.
My background is Anglo/Irish so my legs are always pasty white. It would be nice to have something that made them more of a normal colour & hid some of my flaws. Then I could break out the skirts without feeling self-concious.
I've always avoided self-tanners in the past for fear of turning into a streaky orange oompa-loompa! |

I would recommend Jergens self tanner also.
I use it every night. It is a gradual tan. |

That's my fear with most self-tanners, too! But there's definitely no oranginess with the Jergen's Natural Glow, even if you skip the "fair" formula and jump straight to the "medium" like I did! I can't recommend this stuff enough. |

Hi Carekate!
After reading about the Jergens Natural Glow on EDS, I did a search on the internet and came up with quite a few forums talking about how wonderful this product is. So at lunch hour today, I am off to CVS to see if I can get a tube. What color would you recommend for fair skin? Can fair skins also wear the Medium shade? (I am taking my first vacation in 3 years and going to Hawaii with my Husband the week of April 22). I can't be white as a ghost! he he he! |

I’m very fair, too, but I went straight to the “Medium” formula without problem. Unless you are a true “albino,” I think everyone else can get away with using the Medium formula. |

I am not sure if it is available to the UK, maybe you can contact them, here is the link to Jergens, hope this helps:

Well, I went to (3) pharmacies on my lunch hour, and guess what...........they were all sold out of the Jergens Natural Glow. The manager at CVS said they sold quickly and that more were being delivered later today. Gosh, I am so impatient, he he he! |

How soon after you apply the product (Jergens) can you shower? I couldn't stand that smell on me all day |

What does it smell like?
I had tried the Neutrogena Shimmer Lotion last year and it smelled like bug repellant spray, needless to say, I threw it in the trash. |

No. You'll have to make a 'friend' in the U.S. and have them ship it over. See my offer under the Product Review for Jergen's Natural Glow.... |

Lorrapaw, unfortunately not (along with a million other things ) I emailed Jergens and this is what they said:
You can try drugstore.com which will ship internationally but at this writing
just about every retailer is sold out of Natural Glow. It has been very well
received and we are glad you like it too.

It should be made fashionable to be pale - how much does everyone spend on getting a tan????
On saying that I do love my powder bronzer
I was telling the boyfriend I needed some tan lotion for my legs but he says he likes my corned beef legs |

Well, I gave it one more shot yesterday on my way home and went to Walmart, and they had one tube of Medium color left on the shelf. I paid only $4.44! Yay! |

I’m thinking if we could all make a killing on Ebay if we stocked up on Natural Glow whenever we see it in stock somewhere...hey – I’m looking for alternatives to fund my retirement since it doesn’t look like I can count on Social Security being around in another 30-35 years!! I’m joking...sorta. |

To be honest with you, one of those sellers is me! I've picked it up at $4.99 - 6.50 CAD and am selling it for $6.75 first bid or $8 US BIN plus actual shipping. Anyone from this forum though can PM me and I will send it at my cost only. I don't have anymore though and I've bought out my whole town! There will be more in town next week. I hope this doesn't offend anyone here? I have had one UK lady from here ask for a couple tubes and have absolutely no problem sending it at my cost. |

Lolli, you are a smart lady! If I could get my hands on a bunch of these tubes, I would probably sell them too! (I used to sell homemade soaps on ebay years ago). Actually, I probably would have just purchased a bunch of tubes just for myself, in case it may be impossible again to get another tube when this one runs out. |

Lolli - I was actually of the same-mind this morning when I stopped off at my local Walmart to buy cat food...I stopped by the lotion aisle to see if they had an Natural Glow in stock, and I was going to buy up all the tubes and hawk them on Ebay -- but alas, they were completely sold out!
Listen -- even though I'm not above making a few quick bucks, like Lolli, my offer (under the Product Review for Jergen's Natural Glow) still stands to my all of EDS pals overseas: I'll buy and send you the Natural Glow at cost (product price + actual S&H)...I've already had two people take me up on it, and I'm always willing to fulfill other "orders."
Hey, who was the girl in the UK who had to end up buying a bunch of tubes in order to get the online retailer to ship it over to her? Didn't she say she had to buy $50 worth or something? Maybe she could set up a little side business and keep her follow Brits supplied with NG, too! Of course, she might like it so much that she'll decide to hoard all of the tubes for herself! |
