Hello ladies,
does anyone know if it is normal for a Decleor oil to change colour? My Neroli oil which I purchased approx. 5 months ago and kept on a bathroom shelf has turned a very mild yellow colour compared to a sample which I kept in a cupboard. Does this change the quality of the oil? And what is the best way to store Decleor aroma products? As you know, they take absolutely ages to finish...Evi |

Fraid to say that if you do leave them out in daylight, like perfume they lose their potency. Best way to store them is to keep them in their boxes and keep them somewhere cool.
Saying that Im finishing a bottle of ylang ylang which has faded and it still appears to be working |

Thanks Suki1964! So does it mean that the oil is just less potent or can it actually cause any reactions on the skin? Is it worth keeping? Evi |

Personally I cant see anything in them thats liable to go "off" and cause problems (but Im not a chemist) and so Im using mine with no ill effects. I would think that they just lose their potency, along with the smell. Next bottle I purchase I shall keep in the back of a drawer in its box and just decant small amounts into a smaller bottle to keep beside my bed |

If you do a search you will come across a receipe for the homemade verson of Ylang Ylang oil.
I can tell you that the effects on my skin have been amazing. I have very oily skin and using the ylang ylang at night only has reduced the oil production considerably. Im not saying I still dont have oily skin - I do - but not to the extent it was. Best of all my skin looks passable first thing in the morning, it no longer has an oil slick and a yellowish dullness about it.
I started using this a couple of months ago and started to see results in a week or so. Since then I have added Dr H cleansing cream (2 weeks)and hand on heart, my face has never looked so good. People are beginning to comment on how well I look |

Rosebud -
Here’s the recipe for the homemade Ylang Ylang face oil:
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=5445&highlight=ylang+ylang. Just keep in mind that Ylang Ylang oil is too strong to put directly on your face without mixing with some kind of carrier oil or liquid (i.e. homemade ACV toner). |
