Is there anybody in the forum who has a knowledge of what the maximum time of hydroquinone usage is, before giving it a break. I dont know if I“m right but I think I saw in a medical article that stated it was allowed only in 3 month, than give a breake for 6 month??. I just recieved my order from EDS and the Obagi clear, but I“m in a bit of dillemma and not sure if I want to used it bc of the HQ.
Thanks! |

Seems like that is what I have seen recommended as well. 3 mos. on then take a break. In Europe and South Africa, apparently they have banned use of HQ due to some sort of tumors appearing in lab mice. In the US, the consensus seems to be to use for short periods of time with long breaks in-between. Personally, when I used HQ in combo with Retin-A (Doc's recommendation to help with melasma), I did not get good results. The HQ left a film on my skin, was slightly sticky when it dried. And the melasma did not seem like it faded off at all. I have had much better results using C+ firming serum in the AM with Retin-A/Age LImit serum at night (alternating nights). Have also seen posts here that said that the Skinceuticals Phyto+ helped with lightening up dark areas. |

Thanks, betterat40
I have used scV20 and vivierV20 and didn“t get much of a results to reduce my hyperpigmentation, I now started to use the SC c+aha and hoping to get result. I have also used Skinceuticals Phyto+ and PTR Power K in 5 month but didnt get any results either. I stick to c+aha and see how it goes before taking the drastic step to HQ. Thanks anyway. |
