I've emailed the company but haven't heard back yet-so I posing this to all here who are familiar with AlphaDerm, et al.
I've been reading in all of the magazines about the benefits of at-home glycolic peel systems-I am very happy with the JB products I use, so don't want to compromise those benefits - but wonder if JB will be coming out with a peel themselves, or asking if you know how Alpha Derm & the rest might interact if I do use an at-home peel, like L'Oreal.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,

Maria,
Janson-Beckett's Glycolic products are on page 4 and 5 in salon product sections. It is recommended that you start with a 5% solution and if your skin tolerates it well up to 10%. Glycolic treatments can be used with AlphaDerma. Evening application of glycolics is best. AlphaDerma can be applied after you use a peel. Remember that you skin will be more sensitive to the sun when using a glycolic products. Personally, I would start a glycolic routine during winter months when you are not exposed to the elements as much.
I have not used any of Janson-Becketts glycolic products yet. Perhaps Ian will visit the forum and tell you more about them. The only product I have used is the Avon Two Step Peel. I find it very convenient. I don't use it all the time...only when I feel my skin needs some brightening (Winter months).
So Maria YES you can try a glycolic peel with ADCE but please start off with a low percentage.

I was counting on you answering my question, "Queen JB Guru", Winnie! I did see those products & couldn't tell from the posted info if that was similar to the other commercial at home peels.
Thanks for the info-I will also try calling when I think Ian might be around on the phones.
Have a good day!

From what I understand the Glycolic in JB salon line is very pure (perhaps stronger than the over the counter glycolic products). I will have to try them at 5%. As I said in my last post I don't find the need for GP's often. There are so many products in the JB salon line. I couldn't possibly use them all. Talk about getting confused. |
