My EDS parcel arrived yesterday One question about Okusil - should I use it alone over skin prep or with ADCE over the top as well?
Got quite a few samples with my order this time going to have lots of fun! |

I've used it over the top and alone depending how haggard I look but I'll defer to someone like Winnie to give a better answer. |

Here is what I personally am doing. I use the Okusil alone (over the prep) during the day, and overnight I use the ADCE over the Okusil. |

Good luck with it. Although some people have gotten great results with Okusil, I found it to be a disaster, which I've said before. In any case, I do think you really need to couple it with some kind of eye cream, especially if your skin is dry. At the very least, use it with the AD during the day as well as at night..... |

It really depends on your skintype: I use Prep/AlphaDerma then Okusil. Please remember just a wee bit of each product around your eyes. Also pat these three products around your eye bone.
Okusil has a nice firming quality to it if used properly (very little). If you have dark circles you will be very pleased over the coming weeks.
I do not need any moisturizer on top of Janson-Becketts products. If you are very dry you can apply your normal moisturizer to your routine.

Be careful with that Okusil oil. Try to test a small amount first. It causes my skin damage so badly. Take me almost three weeks and bunch of other expensive products to fix the damages. Everytimes I heard about that product I’m still scare. |

Okusil is not an oil. Honestly, up until a month ago we have not heard these kind of very negative reviews about Okusil. Yes, I do believe that in some cases (depending on skin type) some forum members have experienced dryness. On the whole Okusil does not cause dryness. If used with Prep and AlphaDerma Okusil has been extremely successful. There is nothing in Okusil that can harm your skin. If you are layering it with other products I don't know the results you will receive. Janson Beckett clearly states to use their line a few weeks before adding anything else. The only product we OK is a mild moisturizer if needed.
Lavender995, If you bought Okusil from Janson-Beckett I hope that you contacted them. We do have a 45 day money back guarantee. Even if you did not buy the product from Janson-Beckett if you call their toll free number someone will be more then happy to help you with a solution for the dryness you have in the eye area.
You mentioned that you were using whitening products and asked if you could use them with JB. I know we advised you not to. Hope that you did apply whitening products on top of any JB products.

Hi Winnie,
I didn't use anything except JB products. First I put on Prep, then Alpha, and Okusil last. I used it only one week but the affect was so bad, so I stopped all JB products. I sent only the Okusil back because i read there are a few people had the same problem like I did. I kept the Prep and alpha but use it on my hands only.
btw, thanks for the advices. |

I use Okusil over Prep only. My skin tends to get oily this time of year. This works well for me. If you have dry skin also use the AlphaDerma. Okusil has helped so much with puffiness and dark circles. With the HA Acid I find Okusil (for my skin) not drying in the least.
In my opinion: Some can use Argireline and others can't. I don't think the Okusil dries out the eye area at all. But, if you have a sensitivity to Argireline you could have a problem. Glad I don't.
My advice for Labender995 is not to use any product with Argireline. Sounds like you are sensitive to it. |

I started out using the skin prep and alphaderma. I liked it so much I went ahead and got okusil too. It did seem to cause some very fine lines under my eyes that hadn't been there before....no dark circles though! I was using the prep, then okusil, then alphaderma. I changed the order to prep, alphaderma, and then okusil, and after about a week things improved. Since then I've added decleor hydrotenseur, and I love the combined effect. |

Just a quick comment - I don't have dry skin nor do I have a sensitivity to argirelene. In fact, I use relax-a-line and am quite happy with it. Nevertheless, despite scrupulously following all instructions, I had a problem with the okusil. To this day, I don't know why.
I don't think it's a bad product at all. It just didn't work for me. But, with that said, I wouldn't necessarily tell folks not to use argirelene. Could be something else in the okusil that we're reacting to.... |

Thanks everyone
I've had nothing but good results from the skin prep and ADCE, however I'm only using them in the areas where I need results and I'm also using them sparingly. I'm still using my Vivier Vit C also. I'm finding that I'm not needing a moisturiser overnight, but my make up goes on better if I use a little in the morning. The Okusil is a very interesting consistency and I can see the one bottle lasting ages - a little goes a very long way
Hope to do a full review on the range in around 2 weeks - initial results are very promising |
