I use the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer.
It feels like silk when you put it on. It does make your foundation glide on and gives a nice even courage, but I wouldn't say that it makes it last that much longer.

Ive just started using the Smashbox Photo Finish primer too and am pleased with the feel of it. I definitely think it makes my foundation blend in a lot easier and smoother coverage but am not sure if it drastically extends wear as they report. My skin is fairly oily though... maybe on a drier skin.
I used to use Mirenesse Professional Make up primer ( slightly green in colour) and I can recommend that one too. I just felt like a chaneg and bought several Smashbox products on a recent TV launch here in Australia.
Nars primer ... used to have that one too but that seriously was just like a moisturiser to me... felt no other effects.

Hi Muzzie
I have dry skin but it doesn't make the foundation last any longer - just feels lovely.
I used to use the Laura Mercier primer and found that was also very good. Think I prefer the Smashbox though.

Hi Cheeks,
( hehe dont we have cute names!) Huh... I often linger over Laura Mercier counters and think I want to try that but I actually feel a bit better that you prefer the Smashbox one to hers. I wasnt sure whether to get it when it was on the TV a couple of weeks ago ...price wise it's fairly dear here at about 65 Aussie dollars.
It really does do a much better job than the Nars one though. That really did just look and feel like a light, creamy white lotion moisturiser, no increase in blendability or slip of makeup in application...nor in wear.
Love their blushers but was disappointed in the Nars primer. |

I've tried Clarins Perfect Makeup Start which is quite good.
A more expensive brand which I liked was the La Prairie Caviar line.
By Terry's Skin Colour Enhancer is another great product. |
