Hi guys--
Just thought I would share with all of you! Remember that survey I had up here on 'Assessing Consumer Needs for Skin Care Products' for my graduate thesis on Skin Care? Well, maybe you don't  but sometime this week I will post the results of the survey. They are really interseting.
Well, I had my thesis defense this week and I received a 'High Pass' from my department at Georgetown. I am very pleased! My dream is to go back to California and for my mother and I to start a line of skin care that would be available in her Dermatology practice. She has always wanted to, but has always been too consumed with her practice to pursue it --- I think it would be an amazing achievement if I could help her with it. Of course it would be small because, well, have you ever thought about how much capital it takes to start a skin care line?!
Anyway, this is just a little dream...who knows what the future holds, but I just wanted to thank everyone who filled out my survey and helped my thesis achieve great things!

that's fantastic! you must be so relieved/excited/happy/sad/glad/anxious all at once!
i handed in my PhD in october last year and am just in the final stages of getting it ready to hand in to the library (which for me is the final FINAL part of it), so i totally understand your excitement!
you go girl, why not shoot for the stars and work on developing a new line, what an achievement!

Way to go!
It really is amazing how many of you are overachievers making dropouts like me look like slackers. My plan is to make up for it by being retired by the time I'm 40. Maybe then I'll have time to go back to school. |
