I have been reading such great things about both products - which would be best.
I have combination/oily - my skin tone is fair/olive. I want my makeup to look as natural as possible. Can you help please |

I would go for the Jane Iredale, this gets by far the better reviews. I've tried the Bare Escentuals and was disapointed it just did nothing for me, my budget won't stretch at the moment to Jane Iredale so I will have to wait for trying that one.
I would also recomend getting samples of Jane Iredale as it is crucial to get the right shade and also to see if it suits your skin.

here are two sites that might help before you purchase off EDS of course |

I have tried both and I still can't make up my mind as to which I prefer. I'm using JI at the moment simply because I got fed up of having to mix up two BE colours to get a good match. I like the dewy look that BE gives but I prefer the convenience of the JI pressed powder. Unlike others, I do think that BE provides better coverage although it is much easier to overdo it and get that "cakey" look.
I think whichever you decide to go for you should definitely get the brush to go with it.
I think the BE starter kit is a great place to start off. You get the foundation, warmth (blush), mineral veil, a brush and an application video in the kit and its not too expensive. Also you can get BE on QVC which is great cos if you don't like it you can send it back and get your money back.
Good luck with whatever you choose |

I haven't tried BE, but went with JI myself based on both the reviews from this site and also the fact that you can get it in a pressed powder which is much more convenient for me. Plus when I went to my local salon they were able to match the colour PERFECTLY to my skin so it looked very natural. |

thank you for your help, I think I might try getting some JI samples. I have seen the QVC showcase about BE and it looks also simple and easy but nothing can be that easy!!!
I will let you know how it goes |
