I have searched the forum and cannot find a specific thread. I am looking for a reasonably priced sunhat for myself and my family. Do you guys have any suggestions.
Thanks

What a great site. Thanks. I was really looking for hats with sunscreen ratings. I am not sure that I trust the US anymore as far as sunscreen( since my education reading this forum) so international resources would be greatly appreciated. |

I usually wear loads of high factor suncream. Sunglasses and a peaked cap.
It works for me but then I am in UK. Which is not known for it's sunny weather.
I did the same when we holidayed in Florida in 2002 and I was fine. |

I go to the local garden shop to find the widest brimmed hats. I go for a nice 6-8 inch brim with a chin-tie so it can't blow off. Protects my face, neck and chest. Maybe I look ridiculous with the hat on but at least when the sun goes down at night and I take it off - voila!! No, I don't become Catherine Deneuve - , but I know my skin doesn't look all leathery, at least. |

I know of an excellent hat website -www.villagehatshop.com. You can check out the range of Sunday Afternoons hats, which have a UPF50 rating.
There's alsowww.prescotthats.com. |

Please try these three sites:
1.www.sungrubbies.com - In this site you will find Santacruz hat with a very wide brim.
2.www.ultimatehat.com
3.www.getahaton.com
Hope this helps |
