Hi there fireman...
You might want to check out the IS Clinical Active serum followed by their HydraCool Serum. It's great stuff and, as I understand it, it is one of the few products on the market that is strong enough to deal with an adult male's skin....
Good luck though - I'm sure you'll get more suggestions than you know what to do with. |

Excellent suggestion by Katee! That is definitely something to look into.
I was going to suggest MD Formulations cleanser. This will help exfoliate your skin and keep your pores clean. To help contol the oilyness of you skin, applying Decleor Ylang Ylang oil would be helpful. After that, just apply suncreen. La Roche Posay SPF 60 fluid extreme is recommmended for men. If you also want to incorporate the IS Clinical into this routine, I would maybe not use the MD Formulations cleanser at the same time (it really depends on how tough your skin is though). Another cleanser you could try would be the Decleor cleansing gel...also supposed to be with oily skin. |

I know guys hate to use alot of product. Any product with salicylic acid (2%) will clean pores from the inside out. This makes them look smaller. You might want to go to cosmeticscop.com and look at the choices there in terms of SA products. That taken care of, I think a C serum (to protect from free radical damage caused by UV light, smoke, pollution) and a good sunscreen - and you're on your way! I like the Cellular Skin Rx C serum because it leaves no residue on the skin and the Shiseido spf 55 lotion since it is stable and leaves a matte, non-greasy finish. If you can't handle the fragrance, Coppertone's Oil-Free Faces spf 30 is stable as well though a bit greasier. Good luck! |

I have dealt with severe adult acne and oily skin with large open pores.. this product works for me it's called Pan Oxyl. I use the bar soap twice a day and it has virtually wiped out my acne and keeps the oily skin at bay. It's about 5 bucks for a bar and it last a long time. I don't find it too drying but every skin type is different and you may want to use a light oil free moisturizer to combat dryness. You'll probably get a bunch of advice on what to use but stay simple when it comes to cleansing - sometimes over doing it with different products can make things worse.
Good luck:)
