I was keen to try this as I was feeling very pale and pasty.
Fake Bake have addressed the dilemma some of us have faced. How to apply fake tan AND face treatments? Usually if you apply your tan at night you can't apply any other face saving product. So they come up with this new formula for the face.
It applies differently than the regular fake bake, it is coloured but you don't get covered in brown gunk.
First time I applied I a good amount like the regular tan and got a heavy look I wasn't keen on.
A couple of days later I tried again but used a smaller amount like applying a tinted moisturiser and bingo! Natural & no orange. It says it's very sheer- yes it is, It cn be applied in the morning till you get the right shade - this morning I applied it under my make up as it says and yes again.
To sum up.
If you want a really dark look, apply it heavy.
If you want a more natural and gradual change and lets face it, less chance of messing up the application, apply a small amount like you're applying foundation.
Also I think it's better to do the small regular dose as it's easier to keep the fade under control. I still can't get my fake tans to last days as they claim but could be down to my use of cleansers and scrubs.
It claims not to clog pores and for now it hasn't. As for the wrinkles, that's too soon to tell but if we can tan and combat wrinkles that has to be good
From their website.
"Fake Bake has created The Face , the only self-tanner on the market with peptides (patent pending) to help fight wrinkles, prevent fine lines, increase collagen and elastin production - all while delivering a golden bronzed tan. In the past, the only choice for women was to use their self-tanner intended for the body on their face. The drawback? If applied in the evening, women cannot apply their night or anti-ageing creams.
Fake Bake has solved the problem by combining everything a woman needs in one application. The Face contains Matrixyl-3000, the hottest new ingredient from France that reduces the appearance of wrinkles without the side effects of irritation one could expect from a retinol. Fake Bake has also added Botanicals to ensure that The Face leaves skin velvety smooth ." |

Is this just a bronzer, or a self-tanner? What is the colorlike? Orangy or natural looking? |

It is self tanner but it will give some colour when you apply it as it's tinted.
On me it's very natural and I'm very pale right now of course if I overdo it I imagine I would look orange as any of them would. Hope this helps. |

If you sweat will it drip down your face? I used Tan Secret (it is also a tinted tanner) and started to sweat while working in the yard. When my husband saw me he said, "Go look at yourself". What a sight. I'm glad I wasn't out in public . |

NO! Sorry shouldn't laugh having a ST that leaves you streaky is not funny esp when you try and get it off!
How long did you leave it before working in the yard?
I've put the fake bake on about one a hour before a dance class and I didn't go streaky. Perhaps because of it's consistancy it seems to 'bind' well to the skin. |
