I've been using this TM for about a month now. The coverage is pretty impressive, my bf exclaimed "Hey everything (meaning my mild breakout) disappeared" when I mentioned my skin, he had seen my skin without makeup earlier that morning, and the change surprised him a little.
It has a very pleasant fragrance but I do find it weird that my face should smell perfumed and wonder what effects this has on my skin. It hasn't broken me out but I don't feel like it has actually hydrated my skin (as the name suggests).
It's a decent moisturizer, gives a nice, pretty natural look to skin. I'm happy with it but I might be persuaded to try another brand when this runs out.
I'd give it a solid 8/10. 10 being ultimate wonderful HG foundation.

It IS a pretty TM but the pearl effect looks greasy on my normal skin. The color match is good though - #2 Natural looks great on my lt/medium skin and isn't too pink. The fragrance is way too strong though and this product seems to make my skin itch.

[quote from Sephora.com]
HydrAction Deep Hydration Skin Tint SPF 20
What it is:
A tinted facial moisturizer with SPF 20.

What it does:
Dior HydrAction Deep Hydration Skin Tint SPF 20 is a velvety, sheer face tint with ultra-fine pigments and light-reflecting micro-pearls. This luxurious texture creates a natural veil of fresh color and radiance, for the illusion of bare skin with the promise of perfect hydration. It corrects imperfections, evens the skintone, and also contains a SPF 20 sun protection and the irrigating Aquacapt™ Complex to reinforce the skin's natural moisture reserves all day long.

Size: 1.7 oz

The smell is really ott in my opinion. Yeah I kind of like the highlighted effect but sometimes you want to look matte. The only TM I used before was that Clinique Almost Makeup, I believe it's called. It was worse in my opinion so this seems like an upgrade. It won't settle into the pores on the sides of my nose sometimes (esp if I've been picking - baaad habit).
Fawnie and Benami do you have product suggestions? I stuck with Nars powder foundation before this. I'm not great at picking out makeup unfort... I need to hone my skills or rely on suggestions. Wink

Callalily,
Sure! I know what you mean about the fragrance - what is it doing in a foundation? Covering up something? Way too strong.

I like Dr Hauschka Translucent Makeup - it's a tinted moisturizer but more natural finish, not so pearly as Dior. It really is translucent, so if you want more coverage you'd have to layer or use something else. Not highly fragranced and mostly natural ingredients .

Another one I really like is Awake Skin Renovation Fluid Makeup. It's one foundation that actually makes my skin look better. More coverage than TM but still natural looking and not cakey. Hard to find but worth it. Bergdorf's or Neiman's carries it I think or online. Honey is a good shade for my lt/med skin. It looks dark in the bottle but blends well.

Or I mix this with my sunscreen: Bioderma Max Tinted (mix with Bioderma Photomax 50+ fluide). It is a tint that doesn't inactivate the sunscreen like some foundations can that have TiDo. You can customize it to match your skin. Not too matte and not at all pearly. Not greasy either. Skincarecentral.biz has it.

Dior Nude foundation gets good reviews but I haven't tried it.

HTH a little.

I've never bought any Dior makeup products but I know that even their concealers are heavily scented. It's really stupid to put scents in foundations, tinted moisturizers, etc.
