Hi, I am only 25yrs old and have already developed fine lines and wrinkles around my mouth (smile lines.) They've been around for almost 2 years. My skin is very thin and fair. I tend towards oily in my t-zone and normal everywhere else. I am sensitive to harsh ingredients sometimes. I eat healthy for the most part, exercise daily, and take care of my skin religiously. I did burn a few times as a teenager, but never was a sun lover. Just this past year or so, I started using a sunscreen daily. Any suggestions for skin creams or treatment for fine wrinkles that will actually work. I've tried my fair share to no avail. Sorry to babble - thanks for reading!

You can start using something that's for the first signs of ageing... Lancome Primordiale is nice.

Also, try to wear a sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB and contains antioxidants (vitamins A, C and E). If you're out in the sun a lot or burn easily, SPF25 is a minimum. Antioxidants reverse/prevent sun damage so using a cream or serum when you're not out in the sun can improve your skin Smile

About the thin skin... are you using any products for oily or acne prone skin? A lot of them thin the skin. A good cream with vitamins can improve circulation and thicken it.

What about trying a vitamin C serum, from what I've read this would probably do the trick

Alexine is spot on about the sunscreen, and also retinols and ahas causing thin skin (though some dispute this), though I would go with rosebud about the C serum. A serum with hyaluronic acid is good as well for hydration.

You could try upping your water intake if it is low as well

hi Bullylover,

I agree with what the others have said about a vit C serum and sunscreen, but to answer your original question...I recently started using Relax-a-line. It actually isn't mine, but my roommates, and I am just stealing it for now. Wink I have some lines on my forehead that bother me. I scrunch a lot, and always have, so this will be a problem area for me. The lines were not very deep, but deep enough to be noticed. The relax-a-line is working great on them. Now, I don't know if this is true or not, but the way I see it is if I relax the muscles now, I won't be able to keep scrunching, and therefore the lines shouldn't really get worse. It makes sense to me...anyway, maybe it would help the lines around your mouth. It is not very expensive ($24), and seems like it would last for ages. Very Happy

Thanks for the advice and product recommendations! I'll have to try them out after I'm done with the cream I have now. To answer Alexine's question about my cleanser, I do not normally use one made for oily/acne prone skin. I find them to dry out the rest of my face too much. Although it was very interested to learn that these can affect the thickness of your skin. I don't think I'll ever use one again. Unfortunately, I think my thin skin is hereditary. My mother's side of the family tends to all have horrible undereye circles and veiny eyelids. Now every one of you suggests vitamin c serum to help. Where can you buy this online? Or any specific brand or store?

Popluar brands of Vit C on this forum are Vivier, CellularSkin Rx, Janson Beckett, and Skinceuticals. They are all available on EDS except CSRx, which you can get atwww.cellularskinrx.com . JB C&C serum is actually not avaiable here yet, but will be available in less than 2 weeks apparently.

ditto on what everyone has recommend especially a Vit. C Serum and sunscreen. Faith is correct about a topical with Argireline.

SMILE LINES are much harder to deal with then forehead lines. Your skin might be dehydrated so drink a lot of water. I have a little device FACE FLEX http://www.folica.com/Facial_Flex_Ult_r522_1.html . It really makes a big difference. Especially the smile lines and jaw. Very Happy
