Please advise me Smile I need a new hair dryer. Are the Ceramic Ionic hair dryers all they are cracked up to be? I have short baby fine hair. Someone told me that ceramic is only for people who want to relax course, heavy hair Confused I color my hair and want to keep it shiny and healthy. Any suggestions would be welcomed. I am also looking at the Ionic steam hot rollers. The problem for me is usually half the rollers in the set are too large for my short hair. I need all the body I can get.

Thanks Very Happy
Winnie

I think Ionic dryers are less damaging for all hair types. Even though your hair is short and fine, and it probably only takes you 10 mins to dry it anyway (or less), cutting back the time even more with an ionic dryer can only do good things for your hair. I don't have any suggestions as far as brands go, but I do think that these dryers are healthy for hair, and will help you to keep it healthy and shiny! Very Happy

Hi Winnie,
I use an ionic hair dryer (when I actually have time to dy my hair) and it does take less time than a regular dryer. Less time=less damage. I use the digital Vidal Sassoon Ionizer Ceramic. It has many combinations of speed and temp. setting and has a "cool" shot for shine. I think it cost about $50.00. There are most likely better ones out there but this one was highly rated and I don't use it every day. I like to give my hair a rest every other day.

P.S. The penguin was so funny! It was so hot here in Florida today that it actually looked refreshing!

I've got an ionic hair dryer as well and it takes significantly less time to dry my hair. Mind you, the main reason I bought this was because people kept mentioning smooth manageable hair - this is something that I haven't noticed. I am happy with the decrease in time it takes to dry the hair though - that in itself should mean it's less damaging.

I also have a ceramic bionic hair straightener and I'm very happy with that as well. That DOES make my hair soft and manageable and it's a breeze to use!

Thank you so much!! I did go out and get the Vidal Sassoon Ionizer Ceramic recommended by Joani.sp. Some of them are over 100.00. Spending 50.00 seemed more practical right now. This way I will know how much I like it plus I don't have that much hair to dry Laughing . You girls are angels. Angel
