I'm just about to purchase my first ever vit c serum (Vivier 10) and I want to make sure I'm going to be using it properly so I have a few questions.
If I use it in the morning where does it fit into my routine?? Can I use any old moisturiser afterwards or will some ingredients effect how well the vit c works? I currently use Jurlique's Calendula Cream in the morning (which I love). I'll post the ingredients below.
Aqua (Water); Herbal Extract Mixture from: Calendula officinalis, Prunella vulgaris (Self Heal), Hamamelis virginiana (Witch Hazel), Echinacea purpurea, Spilanthes acmella, Althaea officinalis (Marshmallow); Cetearyl Alcohol and Ceteareth-20; Honey; Cocoglycerides; Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride; Glycerin; Macadamia ternifolia Seed Oil; Persea gratissima (Avocado) Oil; Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil; Butyrospermum parkii (Shea Butter) Oil; Daucus carota sativa (Carrot) Root Extract; Oenothera biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil; Aloe barbadensis Leaf Extract; Hydroxymethylglycinate; Lactic Acid; Citrus grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract; Panthenol; Tocopherol (Vitamin E).
Sorry if these questions have been answered else where but I want to make sure I use it properly! |

You should use it after cleansing and/or toning, before you put on any other creams. The Calendula Cream will be fine afterwards. I would just let the Vit C soak in for about 10 minutes first. |

Oh just remembered something When I first got the vit c serum I had no idea how to apply it or how much to use. It has quite a watery consistency and although it does have some slip it doesn't feel like anything is going on . The best tip I ever got was to put a few drops on the back of my hand and use the finger on my other hand to apply it to my face and neck. You only need a few drops. The instructions do say to massage it in but I find the 10% sinks in too quickly to be able to do that. |
