yeh, I have one of those too...because i got a freak pimple on my cheek (i only get them on my nose and forehead)....to top things off, my facial lady keeps reaggravating it by trying to squeeze something out of it (next month i am going to tell her not to touch it).
i've been using vitamin a - it is taking away the dark spot (and the bump a little).
The most miraculous thing ever is to go to a dermatologist to get a cortisone shot in the pimple. The pimple dries up like a raisin in a day and disappears! (too bad my husband isn't a doctor |

On the subject of cortisone injections, pg. 325 of the June "In Style" magazine says you can use "...a topical hydrocortisone cream like Cortaid (choose the cream over the ointment, which could clog pores). Though less effective than a cortisone shot, it will reduce the swelling slightly."
Haven't tried it myself.
(I know "In Style" isn't entirely trustworthy. Afterall, in the same issue they tout sunscreens I've tried and had to abandon. Though there is a mention of the fave: LRP.) |

Two things that you can use at home are Dr H's Rejuvenating Mask and Jurlique's Calendula Cream. The great thing I've found with both of these products is that each of them have multiple uses so you really get your moneys worth. The DR H mask can be used once a week as a mask, as a moisturiser if you're having problem skin (helps to minimise pores and redness to which is always good ) and as a spot treatment to help soften acne scars: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/dr-hauschka-rejuvenating-p_2063.htm. The Calendula cream can be used as a spot treatment too (to help soften and reduce inflamation). I also use it all over my face as a moisturiser with no probs (hasn't caused me any break outs and definately has helped with my sensitivity). It does look a little nasty though (it's a thick yellow cream but you only need the smallest amount). You can't get it on EDS though.
Something else that has been highly recommended on EDS is the Yonka Juvenil: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/Yon-ka_moisturizing_skin_care.htm. I haven't used it myself but there are threads on here talking about the great results people have had. Good luck! |

I just think over time it will fade to normal. |

It will eventually fade. For me, using Microfoliant and also a vitamin C serum tends to speed up healing. |

Try rubbing a fresh slice of pineapple in your face and let the juice work over-night |

Homemade apple Cider Vinegar toner and an aspirin mask will get rid of the redness quicker than anything, and I do mean QUICK! You will see an incredible reduction, if not complete elimination, in the redness after the first application. See the sticky thread “~~~DIY Skincare Recipes” for info on how to make your own ACV toner and aspirin mask. Of course, the Vit-C serum that Mabsy recommended will also help, but it takes longer (up to 30 days) to begin seeing a difference....
Seriously, if nothing else, try the aspirin mask. You’ll be astonished, you really will!! |

Many people get these and it can take a long time to go away. Exfoliation and products like vit C and retinols can make them go away faster. |

The apple cider vinegar toner has worked better than anything else for me, I've really noticed a difference, my blemmishes have gone down a lot. Also the Dr Hauschka Rejuvenating Face Mask helps used daily as an intensive moisturiser after toning. |

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I have to reiterate that using an aspirin mask and the apple cider vinegar toner is going to fade your post-breakout red mark/s quicker than anything else, and here’s the reason why:
On Friday, I had a nasty zit forming on my cheek. I applied a compress of my homemade Yonka Emulsion Pure to bring it to a head, and was able to extract the pimple on Saturday. That night, I used my aspirin mask, followed w/ the ACV toner, then used the aspirin mask and toner again this morning. The result: not only is the zit gone, but so is the red mark! I mean, you can’t even tell that a couple days ago I had a huge pimple on my face – all the evidence is completely gone.
A bottle of small bottle of cheap/generic aspirin is what, less than a buck? And a bottle of ACV is also less than a dollar, so really, what have you got to lose? Try it and see the astonishing results for yourself! |
