I have had a LOT of luck spot-treating pimples with Osea's correction oil, which is just a 100% natural blend of essential and carrier oils at a high (but not irritating) concentration. It is not a miracle cure but I've never popped a zit since using it--just religiously apply the oil about 4x daily and the blemish goes away gracefully and without a mark. much better than those salycilic acid tpoicals that burn the skin. i try to convince my oily friends to use it but they most always scoff at the idea of putting more oil on their face... i have problems convincing them of the fact that essential oils are anything but oily! and also the fact that water does not penetrate oil, but oil penetrates oil! it sounds counterintuitive, but it works. think of how water and oil interact.
Their website is at "oseaskin", and i am not sure of the ratios, but i am sure someone can come up with a viable equivalent--it is really awesome. it works for bugbites and all types of irritation.
best,

Actually, this product sounds quite a bit like Yonka Emulsion Pure (homemade recipe available in new and improved DIY thread).
If you can provide a list of the specific EOs and carrier oils in this product, I could probably come up with a recipe for you.... |

Here are the ingredients, in order:
Botanical oils of Jojoba, Macadamia, and Sesame. Essential oils of Tea Tree, Rosemary, Lavendar, White Thyme, Grapefruit, Juniper, and Cypress. Vitamin E.
It *really*** works! |

thyme, rosemary and cypress are responsible for cutting oiliness out of the skin and purifying or disinfection, so they would help to calm and disinfect the skin without overstripping it, which is important for pimples which are formed from bacteria that is trapped under dead skin cells. They probably could be forgoed in place of the tea tree oil though, but probably help to cut down on the irritation that can be caused from the tea tree which can leave some people a little red. |
