Am not sure but have a look on the homemade recipes thread, I am sure Carekate posted up a recipe for her version of the ylang ylang.
You have not gone wrong with the Dr Hauschka Normalising Day Oil, I use this daily and love it ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Dear Hana
Hey there. Just wanted to let you know that I use the Ylang-Ylang Oil and absolutely adore it. I also think there's something really therapeutic about applying Decleor oils to your skin. I hope that doesnt sound too weird.
My skin is much less oily for using the Ylang-Ylang oil. The job of this oil is too re-programme the cells to produce less oil, which is the root all skincare problems (especially whiteheads).
Ive not tried the Normalising oil by Dr. H. MY experiences with the Cleansing Cream and Rejeuvenating Mask were bad (broke me out) so I decided not to continue with their line. To be honest I keep thinking Im missing out on a fantastic line because apparently Dr. H products are meant to purge your skin initially before clarity emerges, but its so depressing having self-induced zits I just couldn't bear to stick with it!
Ebay has some fantastic deals for Ylang-Ylang oil. I got 5x2.5ml little bottles for only £12.99. In the UK it retails over here at £36 for 15ml.
I hope that helps a little.

Both the ylang-ylang oil and Dr H normalizing oil are high quality products and work very well for ily skin. It really is a matter of preference as to which you prefer. |

For the love of God, please DO NOT apply Ylang Ylang (or any other essential) oil to your skin “neat” (i.e.: straight up) – nearly every essential oil must be mixed with a carrier oil or you risk causing a serious adverse reaction to your skin!
Since you’ve already ordered the Dr. Hauschka Normalizing Day Oil, I would suggest that you give it a chance (at least 30 days) to work before you go on to try the Decleor Aromessence Ylang Ylang oil since both products are very similar in terms of how they work and the benefits to the skin.
FYI - I posted a recipe for a homemade version of the Decleor Ylang Ylang oil, if you want to try your hand at making your own skincare products (as you have learned, taking care of your skin can be an expensive habit/hobby/necessity!). Here’s the link to all the homemade skincare recipes: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=5981

Carrie, I was sooooo glad that someone mentioned the 'neat' essential oil thing! As I read hana's post (hi hana! ), I thought OMG! hope she hasn't tried yet!
I am going to be mixing ylang ylang with jojoba oil for minime, jojo is good for oily/spotty skin and so is yaya, so I figure gotta be worth a go! |

I have tried both products. I got a sample of Dr H Normalising Day oil and my sis gave me a bottle of Decleor Ylang 2x. I've been using the Dr H Normalising Day oil for a week but until now, it didn't help me control the oiliness of my forehead and nose (Sometimes, I feel it makes my face even worse). But when I tried the Decleor Ylang ylang, holy smokes! the oiliness on my forehead nearly gone. I can feel my face is very clean through out the day. Don't get me wrong, I still get small spots of oil (8~10 hrs after applying) but it can be easily removed by using a clean cloth or tissue. |
