My purchases from ESD arrived, The mulitle fruit cleanser, the triple threat cream, H2O and Hypervitaliser Eye Cream made by Emergin C as recommended by Beauty Therapist (little does she know soooo much cheaper from EDS).
Day 1:
Nicely packaged and sorted through by Australian customs. They so kindly left me a pamphlet - just to reinform me about what I can and can't ship to Australia. I very unfairly wondered why I only received one sample in the box and considered that customs might just be beausty addicts like me...or have wives that are).
In any case, I started with the cleanser with the AHA's. It smelt quite nice and was smooth to apply. Its also in a nice large bottle - which I appreciated. It didnt tingle or sting. Now for the peel....it stung and tingled and the brush was really hard and scratchy (they all came "sealed for my protection", but had a confusing number of plastic lids or seals - you'd almost need a degree to work out which one is for what...). I left it on for only two minutes ("begin gradually"), but it washed off well, and their was little discomfort or redness.
Next was the restoring cream. This goes on beautifully. You hardly use any, and it is quite soothing and comforting, despite containing AHA's. This routine is supposed to RENEW my skin in 6-8 weeks, so I will let you know.
Hyper-vitaliser eye cream - a "supr rich moisturising eye cream". It's texture is like whipped butter and spreads easily. Confused at first at the best way to apply it without it clogging up, but figured it out in the end (tiny tapping motions work). oaked in well, and I kept my hopes up that this was "THE eye cream".
Conculsion day 1: Fine lines on forehead still there (considering ditching my magnifying mirror as quickest way of getting rid of fine lines..), pores still there (I am ALIVE!!!), and I have an above average number of balckheads remaining (that are keeping my beauty therapist in business).
Day 3:
Continue without the peel (only allowed twice a week), the restoring cream I am using twice a day. Noticed that one particular blackhead is smaller and the little capillaries around it are almost gone. Eye cream feels like I have a left a fried fish on my forehead and got it in my eye(*note the results later..and I will literally eat my words).
Week later:
The cleanser is great, I love using it, its easy, low scent and low irritant for my skin. I have used the peel again, and it is fabulous (does sting, so dont use it if you have sensitive or irritable skin, but use it if you are tempted to go shopping as the redness will stop you from attempting to go out in public - might mean you still have to shop at EDS though. Had a massive zit through the week, which cleared up in record time (whoohoo), and my blackheads - I feel confident in saying - are completely and utterly gone!!!! Although I didnt cry, I admit to standing and looking in my magnifying mirror for at least five minutes - I AM NOT ASHAMED).
Conclusion after 1 week:
Well, I have purchased another two products from the range ( I apologise wholeheartedly to my credit card company...I swear it was worth it). And on my 27th birthday on Tuesday, people WILL tell me that they cannot believe how old I am and will say that they think I am barely 21. Oh, and the eye cream...well, my fine laugh lines are barely visible, even in the mag mirror, and my boy is using it too!!! He loves it cause his big fingers can spread it and he doesnt need to "dig holes" in my eye cream anymore, which keeps me happy.
Overall, I am one satisfied customer, and happy chappy......WILL REPURCHASE (apolising in advance to Visa). |

Love your entertaining review and I'm really glad that you've managed to get rid of blackheads with your new EmerginC regime. I haven't tried many of their products but I like their vitality mask (just a nice de-stressing mask) and used to really like an antioxidant mask they used to make (that I can no longer find anywhere). |

hey melissa,
I am really interested in how the eye cream worked for you. Were there more lines there before? or have you never had too many?
BTW, my birthday is Tuesday too!! Happy birthdy in advance! |

Thank you mabsy, I appreciate it. My very first attempt at a review - warts and all. Should also apologise to any readers about my spelling and grammer mistakes. Am making mental note NOT to drink too many glasses of wine (even if it is Friday) before posting stuff on forums...... |

Faith,
Happy birthday sweetie, people born on the 28th of June are the greatest!! Anyway, I can assure you that I have fine lines around my eyes and always will have. A life of passive smoking (my mother smoked - I blame her for most things - but she's o.k with that, she says its expected and then she does this - ), hasn't helped, and in all fairness, my love of all things sunny in australia (and brown like my skin used to be) is also more so to blame.
I can honestly tell you that my partner and myself are surprised (we used la prairie before - and I will not even dignify that cream with a bad review - hahmm - thieves... ). In any case, Emerginc is WAY better for me and my wrickles, but so is the rest of my face, and my boy (who works outdoors all day everyday and has worse than me). So overall we are happy - especially as the price of the last..cream.. was so much more and it was ummm...difficult..to justify! |

Melissa, Thanks!! I hope you have a great day!! I have been looking into La Prairie, so now I have more to think about it. The price of the Emergin C is tempting though.
Mabsy, Thanks! I hope so too!!! |
