Hello I am new here and I would be grateful for any advice on skincare. I currently use cellex-C betaplex cleanser, derma-e pycnocgenol moisturiser at day and rose oil at night.I also use scrubs occasionally to (unsuccesfully) clear pores. Was working reasonably ok up until this summer, working long hours in a city and travelling on a tube in hot weather has left my skin red, dry and flakey and i can see hundreds of tiny acne bumps everywhere.
I would love to try some Yon Ka, especially creme 83, would yonka be good for me or is there anything else i can use to save my skin?
thank you so much

Hi
I too have dry skin, congested sometimes. I remember a trip to Italy last year caused serious congestion - tiny bumps all over the sides of my face and pimples galore on my forehead.
After much trial and error, I found my savior in MD Formulations Cleanser - you can either use the one for sensitive skin or dry skin. To prevent dryness, I only used it in the evening, after I have thoroughly removed my make up. I use Yonka's cleansing gel in the mornings. I also use Dr H's cleansing cream for exfoliation once or twice a week.
I am happy to say that most bumps are gone now, after some time.... Most importantly, no new ones appear. Even during my recent San Diego trip, I brought my MD cleanser along and I came back with no facial mishaps.
HTH

I concur. I highly recommend Dr. H Cleansing Cream. It is great for congested dry/oily skin. I love this product, and it cleared my skin within few days after using it. |

I would also suggest the Dr Hauschka cleansing cream! It's very effective at clearing out pores and it will not strip your skin in the process - it's also gentle enough to be used on a daily basis. |

Thanks for the tips! I have used the Dr H once but found the technique a bit tricky and felt like it did not rinse off properly - maybe it is worth another try.
i think i will try the md formulations too.
any anti-redness moisturisers that you have found? i wondering if camellia or argan oil is worth a try.
my skin sems to be like this only at certain times of the month so maybe there is no hope ! |
