Yes, that is common with C serums that do not contain any fragrances. The metallic smell you are smelling are trace metallic ions reacting with the acidic base of the c serum. It should have no effect on the potency of the serum. Usually though, you will smell this once the product has been on your skin for a while, not in the bottle. |

Well, it depends on your skin & the condition that it's already in. You should start to see a brightening within the first few days. If your skin is already in pretty good shape, then your results may not be as drastic as someone whose skin is more neglected & responds more dramatically to the treatment. I have never used LRP, so I can't speak to that specific product, but I am talking about vitamin c serums in general. |

It stands for La Roche Posay. As far as I know these products are not available in Australia though - or at least I have not seen them anywhere. |

Hi Cbrooke,
So glad you noticed the same smell as me. I just started using cellex vit. C serum and I at the end of the first few days I would notice a metallic smell on the hand that I used to put the serum on. I was boggled by this but after seeing your post I feel a lot better it's not just me!! |
