| I have to say that I find this relationship very odd. On one hand, they seem so cute and look ridiculously happy together, but on the other, more cynical hand, I really wonder how long this can really last. And what happened to Chris Klein?? Oh well...congrats to them!!! |

Any bets on how long this marriage will last? Seems Tom can't stay in a commited relationship for very long!
I also noticed he doesn't go for a specific look in a woman... seems he likes blondes, redheads, brunettes, one thing is common though, they're all rail thin!
I hope he doesn't break her little heart, I guess she's had a crush on him at a young age in his glory days!
Whats with these celebrities getting hitched after only a couple months of dating? I was shocked when I heard my heartthrob Kenney Chesney married Renee Zellwegger...I didn't even know they were dating!  |

There is definitely more to this "relationship" than meets the eye. Still, have to be careful what you say about the litigious Mr Cruise.
Besides, there are bound to be some ardent Cruise fans out there who will get their knickers in a twist if you so much as say he has a hair out of place.  |

I don't mean to offend any Tom Cruise fans...he is an extremely talented man, kinda cute too, but just not my cup of tea! |

| making im just a pessimist..or trying to analyze the whole thing between the two..For one, i've never liked Katie Holmes much. Shes 25 and hes 41..He is an A list celebrity and she is Just coming into the spotlight. Dating him would be a gigantic advantage to her; marrying him would give her career a huge boost. It would be a huge advantage to him as well, considering he's getting a little older and shes 16 years younger than him. I've seen him on MTV faking his personality like he kind of does in movies trying to play this guy completely blown away by her...and how they do funky close ups on him when hes serious...i was at work when i saw them on Oprah...i suppose im the only one disgusted by the whole thing:/ |

No. I am too. Don't like Tom Cruise, never really have.
They are both actors so it's not hard for them to pretend they are in love. After all, it's what they do for a living - pretending to be something they're not.
I'm always suspicious of the way Tom Cruise likes to date relative unknowns and help them build their careers. I wonder what he gets from it? It's obvious why the females go along with it. They suddenly become a big name in Hollywood and the film offers start flooding in. Must be something in it for him though (other than he tries to get them to sign their lives away to Scientology). |

| The last Tom Cruise movie I saw was Top Gun in oh, 86, I was 15. He just takes himself and his image and 'religion' too seriously. I've seen clips online of the Oprah interview, it's really, really embarassing. I guess recently he fired his high powered public relations firm and hired his Scientologist sister to do it instead. I read a gossip newsgroup (bad, I know) and the word is he was told in the past to not talk about Scientology, now with his sister, it's like he's on a mission to promote it at all costs, including his career. The Holmes thing is just strange, I don't get that at all. Word is he invited quite a few young, actesses to meet with him at his Scientology office, only Holmes agreed to have dinner with him! ..........I know far too much gossip about this man and why I care is beyond me!! I do think though some of these stars society idolizes are just freaky and most aren't worth the adulation. |

I've read a lot of this stuff too. I heard a rumour that Kate Bosworth was lined up to have a 'meeting' with him.
I've also read a story that Katie Holmes now has a Scientology minder who follows her about everywhere. I remember the quote given was that the minder was to 'keep Katie on the path'. Another story reported that supposedly Katie has started shunning all her old friends in favour of her new Scientology buddies. 
The small amount of info I've read about Scientology led me to believe that the more you promote it and the more people you recruit, the higher you move up on the Scientology scale (or whatever it is, I was laughing too hard to read the full details of it). Perhaps Tom is pushing hard to get himself right to the top. Hubbard would be proud. |

I dunno, the whole way he's acting is creeping me out a bit. That stint on Oprah had me looking away in embarassment. Interesting that they both have high profile movies coming out.
I heard the rumors too about lining up gals to "interview" for dating purposes. I wonder who was next on his list if Katie said no....perhaps his little co-star in War of the Worlds - Dakota Fanning?
He's lost any cred. with me -not that what I think matters a hoot.
I'll stick with the low profile guys like the luscious Johnny Depp. Don't know if his new Charlie and Chocolate Factory can outdo the original, but I will surely taking my little one to see it!!!

I read on another forum that ALLEGEDLY he had tried to set up dates/interviews/meetings with Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba and Lindsay Lohan (and not forgetting Kate Bosworth who has already been mentioned in my other post). They are all quite young. Lindsay is only 18/19 for crying out loud. What on earth is he playing at? Perhaps he wants them nice and young so that they have plenty of years left in them to produce some Scientology babies.
