For everyone, esp. Mabsy, who use Dermalogica's Microfoliant.
I just received this product YESTERDAY. I was a bit weary about it because I've never used a powder-cleanser before, but as Mabsy said, a little goes a LONG way. All you have to do is pour some out, mix with some water, and voila, your cleanser is activated.
This is not really a full-blown product review since I've only used the product for nearly 2 days. HOWEVER, I just wanted to get on this forum and say HOW AMAZING the product is.
First off, I am very very dedicated to my Clinique exfoliator. One, it gives a very tingly feeling after use. Two, the beads are very soothing. Dermalogica's Microfoliant doesn't have the physical "beads" so I really wondered whether anything was "working."
But get this: I've had two really dry skin patches on the left side of my face. Yeah, I was picking my skin, then it dried out, turned very red . . . not a good sight. I used the Microfoliant twice so far (maybe three times -- just cuz I wanted to use it some more), and the dry patches are GONE. The skin naturally flaked off with gentle washing with the Microfoliant, and . . . I'm SO impressed at this point. I also had a little pimple that was almost "ready" -- the Microfoliant allowed the pimple to surface and I was able to extract it easily.
My skin does feel a bit dry at this point, but I think it might have to do with the weather here in Massachusetts. Can't tell if it's the products I'm using.
I also LOVE the Yonka products I received in my package. MY GOODNESS I'm such a Yonka junkie. I've only used each one 2 times so I can't really share my insights on them yet -- but hopefully I'll get some reviews up within a week or so.
Mabsy -- I'm SO glad you like the Yonka gel cleanser!!!!!!!! Isn't it awesome?! I swear by that product!
Thanks, everyone, for convincing me to just TRY the Microfoliant. It's an amazing product for little, skeptical me  I don't know HOW it works -- but it WORKS!

I'm *SO* glad you like it! I absolutely love this product. It makes my skin smooth, even and bright. It's fantastic!
The Yonka gel is fabulous, I'm a big fan of the fresh feeling in the morning. I'll post a review of it this week.
Enjoy your new products, we're all waiting for the reviews

I am in Mass too!!!!Where are you, eastern, western,berkshires? How funny! I am in Western mass, good ole Mt. Holyoke College area. Wow, I can't believe you live in MA-how funny is that????

I'm actually originally from Houston but I'm in Boston for law school! Wow, what a SMALL world! I mean, there are people on this forum from all over the world -- I just didn't think that I'd bump into someone in the same state! WOW! I live over in Cambridge, MA . . . I actually drove down to Nashoba Valley this morning to pick some fresh apples to take back to Houston with me next week (going back for a visit). That place is so great . . . and the apples are SUPERB!
Have you been in Boston for a long time? I'm working on my second year right now. I almost cried when the Red Sox lost!!!!!!!

| i have been using daily microfoliant for the last few months, and i've noticed a huge difference! i tend to get some congestion on my forehead and chin, and since i've started using this product, what a change! i was using the skin prep scrub about once a week and it is definitely not as effective as the microfoliant! AND as a boost, i use the gentle cream exfoliant (by dermalogica) about once every week or two, and that totally helps clear up my congestion! and they both really help in brightening up my complexion! |

Hey Lisa,
I have lived in this area my entire life...I am actually a little less than 2 hours from Boston but have spent a great deal of time in that area. Which law school? I am going to include my email address, I have a few very good (extremely successful lawyers) friends in your area...if you decide to stay in the area after graduation they would be great contacts (all partners). I have been in Texas for business and our oldest son is in San Antonio for pilot training (just graduated from the AFA in Colorado Springs). The world is definitely a very small place  .
Onto product review...the microfoliant is amazing. I use it approx every other day or so. I was a 100% user of all dermalogica products until I was turned onto Cellcosmet and Valmont. Very pricey but they work so well with my skin I have decided it is worth the investment. I have an upcoming product review on the Valmont new lip crème and the cellcosmet ultra vital moisturizer. Another line I swear by is the skinceuticals/primacy. You would really benefit from it as well being in the city. The C+E with the B5Gel and then the intensive line renewal at night. I have used that regime for 9 months and than ran out. It has been 5 days and my skin has already started to look differently, not as smooth or soft, not as healthy.
Well time to get my day started, we are adding onto our home as well as renovation the existing side and the list of projects is over flowing. Not to mention grocery shopping, soccer games etc. I will post when my products arrive, hopefully sometime Monday. Isn't getting a package from EDS just a great feeling? It is almost like Christmas. Tons of things to try, new...I love it. I am like a kid...
Take care and it is so neat knowing you are so close. I am probably old enough to be your mom so if you need anything (I can't imagine you have any family in this area, what are you doing for Thanksgiving?) let me know! Talk to you later. Isn't Mabsy the best? She is so funny.
