Hi,
My skin got really sensitive recently and it's also prone to broken capillaries. I wonder what exfoliant would work best for my skin type.
I know I cant have microdembrasion since it already gave me some broken caps, but I hope that theres a gentle enough exfoliant out there What could you recommed?
Also, I have been using JB Radiance and I am quite happy with it, but I have gotten some more broken caps on my cheeks and I am not sure if maybe this exfoliant is even too harsh....

try Sothy's skin care line.
I too noticed i have a couple broken capillaries, very small almost unoticable but i notice it and i want to prevent this.
Dermalogica has a very gentle exfoiliator. Daily Microfiliant, it is very gentle you can use it every day! |

Of course, you know that I'm going to suggest Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream If you don't like that, I would suggest Peter Thomas Roth Botanical Buffing Beads. It is actually a scrub but it is very gentle - it feels great, like a massage. Another good option to try would be the Phytomer Gommage Marin. It's one of those mask like things that you leave to dry for a bit and then roll off your face with your palms. You can make it more/less gentle by controlling how much you let it dry.
Otherwise I would go for a chemical exfoliant. I know that the Pevonia Botanica Enzymospherides one that I have is pretty gentle but I hesitate to recommend any chemical exfoliant because I don't know exactly how sensitive your skin is. |

I find all of the Dermalogica exfoliation products to be pretty gentle, especially if you use a gentle touch when applying them. So I would recommend trying either the Daily Microfoliant, the Gentle Exfoliating Cream, or the Skin Prep Scrub. All are much, much gentler than microdermabrasion.

I love Jurlique's Face Wash Cream, it's supposed to be similar to the Dr H CC. Gives me a good deep clean/exfoliation without ANY irritation, break outs or dryness. I was using Daily Microfoliant which I liked too, but it made my face a bit tight afterwards (like I needed to moisturise straight away) and I don't get that with the Jurlique. |

I gave up on using chemical exfoliants for my sensitive skin. They were just too rough for my skin and dermalogica daily microfoliant was too drying for me.
You can try using chemical exfoliants and see if that agrees with your skin.
I also wash my face with a baby washcloth at night. That also helps get rid of flakes. |
