Aveda Inner Light Foundation
My Skin:
I have combo/acne prone skin that gets very oily in the summer and dry in the winter. NW20 with acne scars to cover and Flax was a perfect match for me.
Coverage:
Medium to heavy if you want to build it up...otherwise it soaks right in like a Tinted Moistuizer and leaves a flawless finish. Gives a dewy effect without the greasy feel. Covers my acne scars really well...no need to go back to them with a concealer. Huge time saver.
Price:
$20 at aveda store
Pro:
I love the dewy effect this foundation gives and the fact that it sinks right in. No breakouts and no blotting through the day. In the spring and summer I do not use a moistuizer so I need my foundations to give a little moisture without clogging pores...this is the ticket.
Cons:
Do not like the pump (hard to travel with...never stays locked in place). Tends to take some time to absorb over moisturizer.
Overall:
I think I found my HG foundation here. I get out ot the shower in the am and tone my skin and while it is still moist (not wet) I apply 2 pumps of this stuff all over my face. You need to act fast because it starts to absorb right away. I use it on my eyelids as a primer too. It dries almost powdery and gives a great glow to your skin. I would highly recommend this foundation to anyone looking for a finished look. |

I love the scent of bergamot, rose and lemon, but I do not like lavender. Is the scent very intruding? |

I do notice a slight scent but nothing that sticks around. |

Tried this once. Found the scent overwhelming for facial makeup and it actually bruned my skin. |

I've used this TM for a few years now, and I really like it. I have very dry skin and both my skin and my nose are sensitive to fragrances. I don't have any problem with the scent of this one. In fact, I don't think I've ever even noticed a scent. It's the only Aveda product I can use though since they generally do have a really strong scent.
I'm always on the lookout for the most moisturizing TM there is, but this one always seems to end up being the best for me. |
