Reading from newspaper today:
"Cosmetics merchants in the West still fantasize about the day that men will wear makeup- and presumably cough up as much money as women on their appearance- but in South Korea, the future is the here."
"Color Lotion, a liquid foundation designed (esp. for guys) to cover the 'imperfections', was introduced last year with a lavish advertising campaign starring androgynous World Cup soccer star Ahn Jung Hwan- the David Beckham of South Korea. The lotion chalked up $4 million in sales in the first six month, surprising even its manufacturer."
"Why shouldn't men want to look beautiful and take care of their skin?"asked Yu Sang Ok, 70, the head of Coreana Cosmetics. "Especially as they grow older, they have to wear makeup if they don't want to look shabby."
Ah hah !!! I will see in the very near future my Dad will ask to borrow from Mom her Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals !!!:P:P:P:P:P:P:P Can't wait to see 'the two kids' looking fabulous on their 25th anniversary. |

Very cute post Leila:P, I was just thinking about that this morning as I was looking at my model looking husband in his work boots, jeans and flannel shirt. (He is a pulmonary nurse by education but liked carpentry better so that is where he works!) Maybe if his face is uncomfortable from shaving he might use something I have but "as long as it isn't smelly". My husband looks like Tom Selic-he gets told that all the time. Is that how you spell Selic? |

Hello Barbara,
So happy you find this article interesting.
My Dad just turned 50 in May. He took it very well but I know ( and so does Mom) if he could look as young as 30 ( he's still very handsome) he would not...mind... at all, esp. when Mom is till looking so young. Many times when we three are together and some stranger asks if Mom and I are sisters, Dad always laughs out loud and tells me later :" That's only because you are a girl !!!"
To please Mom, my Dad started to use some moisturizer last year and once in a while let her put some face mask on him. You should see them sitting on our balconny with white mask on their faces and reading glasses reading newspaper in the early morning. It's such a hillarious sight! Sometimes, I think they are just like two kids playing grown up.
I guess we all never want to grow old or look old.
Your husband must be a very sweet guy. Did he build the house for you? Please don't tell him this but I find guys in work boots and jeans and flannel shirts very...uhm...you know... . And nothing is more sexy than a husband who can fix things around the house for you. And Tom Selek ( I double checked it ) as I remember was voted more than once a sexy man alive. You are so lucky, Barbara. I must look for a cute carpenter myself!:P:P:P |

Hi Leila,
First, my husband is sooo sexy (we have 4 children) at 48.Very fit, MMmmm very muscular. If you can find a carpenter that is intelligent, well rounded, funny gee you have a winner! "P" as I call my guy, is so knowledgeable in all areas. However, he wouldn't put any creams on his hands, feet skin-anywhere. My dad on the other hand (72) does. He doesn't know it but he is getting gifts from EDS;) for Christmas. He looks 60, acts 50, in part because he takes really good care of himself. He eats extremely well, exercises and doesn’t have any health issues at all. I happen to be one of those open-minded people, doesn’t make a difference gender, age or economic stature-take care of your skin. |
