Hi All!
I've missed being on here what with work, summer camps (helping herd those monsters around), weddings, and now my skin shows it!
I need to re-stock my shelves. And cabinets. And trolly thingys and bins. Bwahahahaha.
Here's the deal: my skin was great a few days after a Dermalogica facial. After that, I had a massive breakout (zits were rare). I have added nothing new to my regimen so the facial is the only thing I can pinpoint.
An esthetician (that sold Dermalogica) suggested this:
Anti-Bac Skin Wash alt. w/ Special Cleansing Gel (already own)
Multi-Active Toner
Daily Microfoliant (already own)
Active Moist
Skin Hydrating Masque
Anti-Bac Cooling Masque
Medicated Clearing Gel
But after reading on the forum, it seems this line isn't "all that" though it isn't bad either. I've tried Decleor Cleansing Milk with their Toner and love how soft that makes my skin feel (I also have Neroli and Ylang Ylang oils), except I have no idea how that would help with my breakout.
Current regimen: Derm. S.Cleansing Gel, Microfoliant, CSRx C Serum (this gave me a few pimples, but nothing like what I have now), Neutrogena Sunblock, YonKa Phyto 58 (I ran out of daily moisturizer already and am relying on a tiny tube of H20+ gel ).
Help? Quick? |

How long ago was the facial? Some people do breakout after facials (depending on what type is done and what their skin is used to) so it might be good to just revert to what you were using before and let your skin calm down. Otherwise, I would recommend using the Microfoliant and also the Medicated Clearing Gel. You could also try YonKa Juvenil and YonKa Creme15 to try to spot treat/prevent pimples.
The anti-bac Dermalogica stuff sounds like a reasonable suggestion given what it does but I have not used these myself so cannot comment either way on effectiveness. |

The facial was about a month ago, and I began breaking out almost a week after until...yesterday! On a whim I picked up a tube of DermaMed gel for acne while grocery shopping and it has worked wonders! I could feel the tingly-ness of it and a separate cooling feeling. That in combo with me getting sick this weekend (re: nothing but hot, plain liquid-y things) my skin cleared up completely in 3 days. Go figure. |

Glad to hear it's all calming down then! |
