Ok I saw this daft make-over program on the telly and have decided that I want a skin refiner
At the moment I:
*cleanse (homemade Dr H CC),
*tone with witch hazel/rose water during the day and Apple Cider Vinegar at night
*Dr H Normalising Day Oil
*Avene sunscreen on top of normalising day oil
I don't bother with a clay mask as my cleanser has kaolin in it and I find clays dry my oily skin out a little too much.
Every couple of months I use Dr Hauschka Rejuvenating mask as a day moisturiser over the day oil.
I want something that will give my skin that ooomph, a healthy glow.
Should I add Vitamin C Serum???? Not sure |

Personally, I do think you should add the vit C but that's for the protection and the glowy effect If you want an actual skin refiner then you want something exfoliating... Have you seen this very recent review? http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=7312 |

Hi Rosebud!
I'm a big fan of a reputable topical vitamin C serum (I *like* Cellex-C as a back-up, but *love* Skinceuticals as a standard and rely on the Vivier C20 in the winter)....Another good skin "oomph" product is the Dermalogica Microfoliant.....I use it daily, and, in conjuction with the Dr H Cleansing Cream, have great results (brighter, clearer skin than ever)....I also love the Orlane Claircilane toner....which is a brightener as well...
Good luck!

I only recently started using a C Serum and whilst it took me a while to get used to it I think after continued regular use this will make skin appear more refined. Also it has numerous benefits, so investing inthis would be worthwhile.
A stronger exfoliant will also refine the skin. Ive bought products marketed as skin refiners before and I found although they make your skin feel beautiful they do not have such an impact on it appearance wise. A vit C serum has more benefits. |

Oh gosh there is so much I want to buy right now.
Are there any Vit C/ Refiners that are cheaper in the US than over here in the UK, it's just I may as well treat myself over there
I have plenty of exfoliating products, but like to keep these to a minimum as my skin goes supper oily afterwards.
What I would like is for my skin to be more pollished, glowing and look healthier. |

Hi rosebud
I'm like you.. oily skin and large pores if I don't take care of my skin
I've recently tried the epidermx microdermabrasion stuff and I've found it quite good for minimising the pores on my cheeks and forehead.
In winter I use the DH revitalising mask almost every other day under a moisturiser, and that really helps my skin 'regenerate'.
Hopefully you will be able to find your secret weapon for beautiful skin |
