Hi my name is Catherine, I am a 25 yo Australian woman needing some advice on a skin care regime . I cleanse, tone, moisturise and do home treatments semi-regularly. I have fair to medium toned combination skin that is prone to hormonal acne breakouts . I curerntly use Pevonia however in the past i have used Clarins & Guinot also. I'm interested in advice realting to products for combination skin that will treat aging as i'm now needing this, particularly round the eye area. I've read all the forums, there fabulous I'd be interested to hear about others with my condition and the success you've had with products. Looking forward to your advice |

Are you wanting Pevonia products specifically? A few good products that I can recommend are:
Cleanser for combo/problem skin
Enzymo-spherides peeling mask or their Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser (which is more like a gentle exfoliating scrub)
Evolutive Eye Cream (the eye gel may not be enough for you)

Sorry, saw the second post but I thought it was someone else making a comment...
Ok, there are actually plenty of lines that have products that would suit you. My initial thought is, of course, Dr Hauschka because it's a very gentle line of product and does not strip the skin. In fact, I can really not use moisturiser after using their Cleansing Cream and a toner at night. I don't have dry skin though so it's not too moisturising otherwise I would not be able to use it. The Cleansing Cream is also a good gentle exfoliant and it's great at cleaning out pores. I haven't had much success with their eye cream though. I like the Cellcosmet and Babor eye creams. PSF Skincare also makes a really good one if you have dry skin around the eye area.
The issue with makeup not going on smoothly - that could be the moisturiser or that could also be lack of exfoliation perhaps? You mentioned that you cleansed, toned and moisturised. Do you regularly use any exfoliants, e.g. scrubs? That, or an AHA product, should make your skin nice and smooth. PTR Botanical Buffing Beads is a nice gentle scrub, though Dermalogica Microfoliant is even better IMO if you don't have sensitive skin (and sometimes even if you do). |
