Hahaha...yes, my boy is watching every ball, that is why I am on the forum typing madly. (I only pay attention when the crowd roars which means an aussie is out). BTW he thinks your commentators are biased, particularly Ian Bothom (and he wanted me to write that to you..he has heaps of friends in the UK and takes any opportunity to stir one up... ) |

NO!!!!
I can't stand cricket. I come from a cricketing family. My Dad has played every summer for a local team for the last 30-40 years. Not forgetting the winter seasons of indoor cricket.
As soon as my two brothers were old enough to walk he had them outside learning to play. He tried to teach me but I wasn't interested.
We always missed out on family holidays during the summer as my Dad and brothers were too busy playing cricket. The only time we got to go away anywhere was if they were touring with the cricket team.
Most of my Mum's weekends were taken up with making and serving the cricket teas. I had to be dragged along as I was too young to stay at home alone. I had to suffer cricket every weekend during the summer until I was 16 and allowed to do my own thing.
My Mum and Dad actually met through cricket. Dad was playing for the local team and Mum was doing the scoring (both on and off the pitch ). |

Sorry, roseud..when I say my boy, I mean my partner. (child free right now and for a few more years ) He loves it, and my dad (in a family of four girls and mum and no boys) loved it, so I also grew up with it , so my partner watches every ball and gets really excited (and angry ).
I am ashamed to say that we are not really holding up to my expectations - England are doing better than predicted, and Luke ( my partner) is turning it over to LOST regularly!!!! (every time he turs it back another aussie is out. ) |

Hello rosebud,
I see you are paying as much attention to the ashes as I am. The good news is that while my partner watching the ashes, I am racking up a fortune on the CC....
Thought we had you guys at 100 - didnt think youd make it must past that...oh, and so much for mr ian botham speaking the truth!! (referring to the pitch and his interpretation of it..."lots of runs etc etc")
Sad to say I didnt make it up to watch the whole innings...but I was fairly productive at work today! Gotta earn more bonus to buy more products . Only joking...is it obvious how bored I am.... |
