I am expecting my EDS package in the next day or so and I can't wait. I have 5 products coming; three I have already left reviews on (skinceuticals B5gel and intensive line renewal as well as Primacy C+E.) All mandatory in my "get ready time". The other two products are Cellcosmet Ultra Vital and Valmont Lip Repair. For those of you who know me, I am a committed Cellcosmet user and Valmont is hot on it's heals. I think I will work out to be a Cellcosmet moisturizer lady and Valmont masks and lip crème person. But time will tell (and so won't I when I try them...)
On my next will be the Valmont Collagen-Mucopolysaccharides Complex which is my Christmas present to myself (very very early-like next week.) I have been told they are masks that you apply for an hour and it is heavenly. I won't put them in place of a facial because one needs the pores cleaned, facial muscles rubbed etc but it will aid in softening and relaxing my look. Gee whiz this is like a review and I haven't even held the package. See ya!:P

LOL, I love using Christmas as an excuse for presents from me-to-me Around October is a good time to start, that way you can get in a few of them before Christmas comes around :P
That Valmont masks sounds divine. Does the (5) mean that there are 5 masks in the box? Sounds like a lovely special treat though!
Lookin' forward to your reviews as always.

Yes Ms.Mabsy,
Five (5) masks. I understand the process to be; add something (incl. in pkg.) to mask to moisturize it then apply to face for a divine hour. Picture this, no children for hours to come, cool outside-mid 60's, candle burning is "banana nut bread" a little music, not classical perhaps josh groban maybe Michael bulbe', foot crème with cotton socks and a moist heating pad over feet for added comfort. Can this be love??????Can't wait Like I said it should be here the next day or so:P
I will let you know.... to bad we don’t live closer to each other, we could share our precious treats.

Mmmm... banana bread! *drools* That sounds like one delicious candle!
How are all your EDS goodies going? If I don't 'see' you on EDS for a few days I'll just assume you've over relaxed yourself with Valmont/Cellcosmet |

Well Review number one is in! I absolutely love the Valmont Lip repair!! It was expensive (I remember when I first started buying lovely skin care products I was shocked by the 30.00 price tag on a lip crème- absolutely horrified!) I have used it just 4 days going on 5 (five) days now and after the first application naturally I didn't notice anything. The second full day I noticed my lipstick stayed on all day. I thought, I must have used a new brand. (Mind you I only use Jane Iredale that is my level of preoccupation.) The third day, the lipstick stayed on again, and this time I only "wanted" to put a moisturizer on my lips a couple of times. The 4th day I noticed all the rough spots gone, lipstick was on all day again and I didn't even think about using a lip moisturizer touch up! Tomorrow will be the 5th full day and I have to say I LOVE IT:D Fair warning, it isn't cheap but you use such a small amount, it is a pump bottle and this bottle will probably last a good 10 months. I will be going to my grave with this product:P:P!
You know I probably shouldn’t mention prices, but I know it is an issue at times. What I have discovered is, I can use products that cost less, use them for a short period then let them accumulate with the other rejects. OR I can sample quality products, then purchase and just about lick the jar clean. I have to say I don’t have one, not one product that I have purchased from this site that is sitting collecting dust in my make up area. That is no exaggeration. (Licking is though!!!!)
I have had a really long week so I am signing off, I will write my other review tomorrow!

Cellcosmet Ultra Vital.......has taken the place of two moisturizers. (Both Cellcosmet...my heaven in a pump) I can't say enough about the line, as you already know, and the Vital didn't let me down. Product is superb. Only complaint and it isn't a complaint more of a difference, I have to use a little more this one product than I did of the other moisturizer (s). Great coverage, very little fragrance, if any, doesn't leave a shine, your face just feels taken care of....That is it! |

I hate to bring up the "G" word but how does the Ultra Vital compare to the Valmont Glacier? I remember you tried a sample of that one and were pretty impressed but later decided that Cellcosmet was your moisturiser of choice. Any particular reason (different results?) or just personal choice?
Hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend,
Mabsy. |

Hi Mabsy,
This is just my experience, I am sure there are another diva's able to something differently, but the Glacier didn't do anything more than my Vital. Skin felt the same after application,Mmmm, what else...that was about it. Cellcosmet has an incredible product line for moisturizers, it really does. If I was blindfolded and had to choose I would probably say one was the other and the price is so drastically different. This review really says alot about my line. Maybe if the sample was larger or lasted longer and I was really able to see a difference I would go for a true size purchase but from what I had to sample from......it didn't make the grade. On the other hand, Valmont Lip repair is amazing.Wonderful. It made a differnce immediately in how my lips felt, looked and duration for my makeup. That too comes with a high price tag but I think it is worth it. Thank God I feel this way about the Glacier-can you imagine-650.00 big ones for our face????.....:P
Dito on the lovely weekend. The weather here is rather cool, low 50's with rain in the future for a few days:(. Oh well could be worse, it could be snowing.... |

Hi Babs,
Have you tried the Cellcosmet Eye Cream at all? I'm really tempted now after hearing you rave about the moisturisers.
I'm always on the lookout for a good eye cream; it's a bit of an * spam alert * I guess.... I've got a sample of it and I've been so tempted by your other Cellcosmet reviews that I decided to interrupt my PTR Power K Eye Rescue experiment (it's actually pretty good but the effect of it has plateaued; I think it's done as much as it can ). So I just started using the Cellcosmet Eye cream but only for two days. It's very nice, I like the smell and a little goes a LOOONG way!
I just noticed that the Cellcosmet Eye Cream actually comes in a 1.03oz size instead of the ususal 0.5oz eye creams usually come in. Before I noticed that I thought it was really expensive, but now that I figured it out it's pretty much the same price as the PTR Eye Rescue (double the price but double the size!) Strangely, the rest of the Cellcosmet eye products come in 0.5oz sizes.... Go figure!
Mabsy.
ps. Talk about the weather.... We had some SERIOUS thunder storms on the w/e! We're entering our annual stormy season but the last few years have been pretty uneventful on that front. We're making up for it now I think! Golf ball sized hail on Sat AND Sun (though we got quite lucky and just got really scary wind and massive lightning). My poor old dog is not impressed! |

Hi Mabsy,
Most importantly....poor pouch, afriad of the noise? Our dog was the same way. She would walk between our legs when it was thundering...crazy thing she was... She was hit by a car 6 weeks ago and died 3 hours later. Really hard to handle:(
. Anyhow.....
I faithfully use Cellcosmet eye creme, the offical name ...Cellcosmet Eye Contour Cream. Use a very small amount, more isn't better as we have all learned and it last me at least 10 months per pump bottle. I can't say enough about the entire line.....as you hear me go on and on.:P. Let us know, you give the best reviews..... |

Hi Babs,
I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. That's such a tragic story. I hope your family is coping well. I absolutely adore animals and know what it's like -- they're like children instead of "pets" you know? In any case, don't want to bring back memories in case you're coping better nowadays but just wanted to let you know that my heart goes out to you and your family for your loss. I'm sure she was a very lucky pooch, and I do hope that you will all decide to give another dog (or dogs) a chance to live a very fulfilling life at your humble abode

Thanks Lis- You’re so sweet. We just picked up her ashes today as a matter of fact. Her name was so funny: Contessa Dela-poucha. She was the most beautiful Black Lab. We called her "Tess" for a nick name. My nutty husband named her Contessa.....Royalty. So sad to think of the end but such wonderful memories.
Funny every time I write to you I am baking/cooking something-now spear ribs in a beer sweet sauce, absolutely to die for. (Great pore clogger-oh God..... What's new in your life? I will send an email tomorrow. Take care, how was your trip home? Do you take any of your treasures home (from EDS) to mum?
Babs

Hmmm.... I'm feeling hungry.... I wonder why that is...
I'm really sorry to hear about Contessa Dela-poucha. It's really hard when you lose a dog. But I still remember all the funny and cute things my previous dogs did and still have photos; and so will you. But it is hard for a while until you get yourself into a different routine.
My dog has never been afraid of storms but as he gets older he gets weirder by the day. Now all of a sudden he's scared. Not quite sure what his problem is
I'll let you know how I go with Cellcosmet. I got the impression it further improved on the work of the PTR Power K but after just a few days I'm sure it's just my imagination.
