Anyone uses this brand? http://www.pureluxecosmetics.com
I never used it, but by the looks of their eyeshawdows.......WOW! I have never seen anything with more colors. There are millions and millions (or so it seems) of different colors!
I'm thinking, even if you don't use much eyeshadows, it will be fun to just keep in your room for decorations.
Please give your advice or comments about these prodcuts. |

Hi
I initially ordered samples of 'straw' and 'rapture', and while they were beautiful, I thought they were a bit too 'glimmery' for me. I emailed Chris, who owns the site and asked for her advice (she's really very helpful), and on her recommendation I got 'suede', 'heather mist' and 'vanilla' (as a base). These colours are more subtle, I think they are from her 'silk' line (I could be wrong), but they are just wonderful!
I know what you mean about the range of colours - its soooo hard to choose from

I bought heaps from this site, and thus far have been pleased overall. I purchased just the one eye shadow (for the moment!!) which was peach parfait. It is also quite shimmery, but I can get away with it occassionally and will look great when I go out at night. My favourite and certain repurchase is the sunkissed bronzer - it looks really natural (as opposed to my clinique one which is shimmery and very "bronze"). Also a little goes a long way. The foundation I ordered was WAY too light for me, so I can't comment on those (lucky it was just a sample).
I purchased the blush in "babydoll" also, which is quite good - hardest of anything to put on as application is soooo important with your blush, and it is a powerful colour - but very nice and ladyish. I am going back for nymph soon, as I have heard that it is very nice also.
Overall, I was very, very happy and will order more in the blushes, and maybe even another foundation (not because i need it....., but its really hard to gauge colours on the computer, and I haven't used MMU before, so I can't even say around about what colour I am. Also i thought I was fair, but compared to the ivory (which is death-like) from pureluxe, I must be neutral. Good luck with your purchases, really you cannot go wrong as there are cheap samples to choose from anyway, and the products are a high quality overall also IMO. |

I've just ordered some foundation and corrector samples.. and sneaked in some eyeshadows too.
The foundations give quite good coverage, and sink it very naturally after an hour or so.
The colours are a bit difficult for asian skin, I've actually mixed in banana split and buttercup to yellow it up. It doesn't give you a jaundiced look, but just helps to blend my face (which would otherwise look like a white mask) into my neck better.
The eye shadows slid right off my eye lids though.. perhaps because of oily skin and using Dr Hauschka eye balm.
I agree with the good value and quality too. I've had to pay twice as much for some powder that has parabens and no zinc/titanium oxides in it. |

I'm just about to place my second order with PureLuxe!
Unfortunately, the foundations I originally ordered were way too light for me (even though I think I'm pretty pale), too. I also had a problem with the eyeshadow colour not lasting on my lids. (Shame, as the colours really are gorgeous.)
However, the Line Eraser and corrective colours were absolutely fantastic, especially the cover-up for red. I'll be ordering full-sizes of those.
I'm going to follow someone on this forum's suggestion (sorry, forgotten whose it was) of mixing the eye colour with SheLaq in order to make it into a, hopefully, long-lasting eyeliner. |

thanks for the advice, ladies!
I'm planning to buy that new whip cream foundation, even if I don't really wear foundation, BUT the sound of anything whip cream, I gotta try.
I'm planning to buy the line eraser in banana plit and apricot. Is it the same "feel" and everything? |

To keep the eyeshadows on, try Benefit F.Y.I. It works for my oily lids! |

glistenxz - I found the coloured line erasers to have a drier texture than the plain. But they still go on well and do the job.
gemlover - Great tip, thanks! |

Meant to add, you could always buy the plain line eraser and some of the colour corrector powders and mix a little to try it. Then you could adjust the texture if you like. |

You girls are super duper!
I am placing my order today.
I am not sure whether if this forum is a blessing or curse. I love going here...but end up spending so much money on products I never knew. lol. hehehehe.
Must get another part-time job ...to satisfy my habit on EDB forum. hehe |

I know what you mean!
I was reading about IS Clinical products yesterday and am sorely tempted. My credit card is currently cringing in a corner somewhere, desperately trying to hide.
Had an awful shock the other day. One of the lovely SAs in my favourite cosmetics shop gave me some skincare samples. I absolutely adored one of the moisturisers - went on like a dream, worked fantastically well and smelt of Turkish Delight. Decided to go and buy some.
Then I saw the price...£240 ($417) dollars for a small jar! Eek!
Just a teensy weensy bit too expensive for me, I thought, after I picked myself up off the floor. |
