My face got burnt in the sun just recently, and I don't want to put anything oily on my face because I have oily skin and am acne prone. Does anyone know a way to help the redness and pain without clogging my pores, or a product for sunburn that's oil free? |

You could try aloe. And sunscreen... |

Hiya amarettokc
For something you can use at night, or when at home, to help the redness/pain, I would suggest pure aloe vera gel. Not the type that's got colours or preservatives and fillers in it. I think it is available through many health shops or online ordering. Perhaps you could also try a spray on hydrosol like lavender or rose.
I think most sunscreens, organically based or not, have some sort of 'oil' in there for emulsion/moisturising properties. At least in organically based products the oils are plant based, so will actually be beneficial for the skin. May actually help reduce oiliness if you use a good cleanser and toner.
With chemically based sunscreens, many that are 'oil free', contain instead petrolatum, propylene glycol, which can end up clogging pores.
The only nice sunscreen that I have tried otherwise, was the clinique repairwear line. Perhaps you can get the pump instead of the jar, as that is for oilier skins. It has a decent texture, and the pink colour disappears once you apply it. |

My hubbie burnt his forehead mowing the lawn this year and I put Skin Bio Copper Peptide Serum on it and he said it felt instantly cooler and by the next day, it was gone. If you don't have it on hand though it's a moot point.
I burnt my face with Vit A this last winter and pure vitamin e soothed it a lot but I think it caused me some breakouts afterward.
I've been recently using chamomile tea on minor redness and flaking and it's really soothing. I don't know about putting such a high water content solution on a sunburn though, it might cause more dryness and irritation.
The aloe miranets and faith mentioned, without colour or fragrance, would probably really help too. |

I burnt a patch on my face with some oils I added to a glycolic acid peel. I used a combo of aloe (from Personal formulator but available at most health food stores) and copper peptide serum (Skin Biology) and the redness was gone in less than one day. |

Get an Aleo leaf, preferably straight from the plant, and rub in your skin....leave overnight! (do not use gels from store- they contain actual very little real Aloe gel, most are just powders reconstructed...) |
