I ordered this and have used it exclusively for 2 weeks. The scent and texture reminds me of Eve Lom but without the petrochemical ingredients.
It was good at removing makeup but the downside was that the beeswax left my skin feeling congested as if some of it was left on my skin after removing the cleanser with a soaked muslin cloth or sponges. The enlarged and clogged pores in areas where my pores tend to be virtually invisible provided evidence of this.
I also think that given the ingredients and the amount in the jar - this cleansing balm is something that a DIY person could easily mix up at a fraction of the £19 I paid for it.
Those of you who take no issue with beeswax will surely enjoy this product.
My own search for the ultimate organic cleanser continues.... |

Has anyone tried any other Organic Pharmacy products? |

The Organic Pharmacy has a really cute little starter kit, with sample sizes of shampoo, conditioner, the carrot butter cleanser and various other goodies:

I love the antioxidant serum and gel particularly and have the full sizes of those too now. I like the carrot butter cleanser, gives me a similar feeling to Dr Hauschka cleansing cream although this cleanser is very smooth. Haven't tried the other creams and hair products yet but am going on a trip next week so will take them with me then . |

I have to say it just goes to show not every product suits every skin, my skin didn't like the Dr.H cleanser but was fine with the Jurlique and I'm hit and miss with the liz earle BUT I was fine with the OP carrot cleanser which surprised me as I had trouble with the Neals Yard one-which is similar but feels richer I bought the cloth and made sure I gave the skin a thorough rub over with it. |

I really like the texture of this balm.
But I also felt it was staying on my skin so am taking extra care with muslin+hot water, rinsing more than I did with previous balms. Been using it two weeks and no congestion so far.
But today when I was in OP getting my other stuff, I was served by a therapist as she was between clients. When I was asking when to use my rose cleansing gel, thinking she was going to say in the mornings, she said use it after using carrot balm as well as in the morning. I asked her about it and she said, carrot balm is designed to be just used with the muslin cloth etc but the oil could clog your pores so it's best to cleanse with rose afterwards. Sounds a bit of a hassle to me! |

i've been using the organic pharmacy eye cream and it worked fine last winter, since i needed a rich cream for the dehydrated skin around my eyes
only use it at night though, since it's quite greasy and i tried using it during the day, it was hard to apply concealer on top of it due to the greasiness
it's not a cheap skincare line and when i bought the eye cream 6 mths ago, it was only 25 GBP; i just checked recently and it's now 32 GBP.. |
