Can anyone share with me their favorite/least favorite powder bronzers? It seems so hard to find a good one. So far, these are the bronzers I've tried:
Caboodles Bronzer in Hawaii - was a nice tan color, but too much shimmer/sparkle for me.
Wet'n'wild Bronzer - a nice color as well (no orange), but is so matte that it is more like a pressed powder than a bronzer.
Physicians Formula - always applies too light, way lighter than it looks in the tub...
I'm looking for a nice natural golden/brown bronzer than compliments my summer tan, with just a little bit of shimmer... anyone have a bronzer that does that? Or one that should be stayed away from ?!! |

I love bronzers....sometimes I use bronzer all over and sometimes I apply just a bit to my cheekbones, but it ALWAYS has to look natural.
GloMinerals bronzing powder--Excellent. This is very natural on me. Can be lightly applied to enhance, or layered for more of a glow. I like it, because it applies evenly, and has a touch of shimmer, but not too much. I purchased this in May, and have only used about 50% so far. Unless I find one that I like better, this is the bronzer that I will re-purchase. AND....I'm happy to see that EDS sells GloMinerals!!! The department store where I purchased this, on a whim, stopped selling this line.
Victoria Secret bronzing powder--very good. I received this as a gift with purchase. One day, I dropped it and it broke into small pieces. Instead of tossing it, I put all of the broken pieces into a small container....and I actually like it better this way! This provides a deeper glow than GloMinerals....and more shimmer. I use this at night.
Estee Lauder Amber Bronze bronzing powder: this, on me, provides a darker result than the VS and GM. On me, this appeared a bit orange. Not as natural, but would use it if I had nothing else. I do love EL's Amber Bronze lip balm, a creamy, moisturinzing lip tint with SPF. Nice color on lips too!
Dr. Hauschka bronze concentrate: I've used this, mixed with moisturizer, on my face, neck and legs, when I've been too busy, or lazy, to apply self-bronzer. I like it! I can control the depth of bronze I want by adding more or less of the concentrate to lotion. It mixes well with lotion or cream, applies evenly on skin and I've had no problems with it coming off on my clothes.
Guerlain Terracotta Moisturizing Bronzing Powder-shade N1: I just ordered this over the weekend, for a lighter bronzing version. I have never tried this, but a friend of mine uses the N2, a darker shade, so I'm hoping that the number 1 shade will be appropriate for me to use this winter, when my natural skin color is lighter. The Guerlain is also supposed to be moisturizing, which I need for my dry skin. |

Well it just has to be:
MAC RIFINED GOLDEN PRESSED BRONZING POWDER
I love this so much, you can build it up to the intensity you like and it has that all important hint of a shimmer. |

I'm very pale...its really hard to find a bronzer that doesn't look too fake! Which of the ones listed would be the best to try? |

I've had these bronzing beads from Body shop (the only thing I got from there) for years! I think it was 5 years ago that I bought them and they work great... I've seen Physicians Formula have a simular product in supermarkets... it's basically small little bronzing balls in a jar that you swosh a brush over and then apply to your face. |
