I have just applied a sample of the Skin refining masque by Dermalogica. I hear a lot of positive comments about Dermalogica, so I thought I would give it a go.
From the moment I started applying the masque my skin started to feel like it was burning. Is this normal?? I will persevere and keep it on for the 10 mins that I have been instructed.
I don't feel very comfortable at the fact that skin products should feel this way.
Can anyone enlighten me as to why this may be happening??
Whilst I am writing this, the burning sensation is receding.
Thanks all Smile
Mary xx

I just had a look at the ingredients and this is a clay mask. The clay masks can sometimes burn - I get that very sensation with the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask, although it seems to be an effective mask. I don't know if it's the TYPE of clay or if it's the other ingredients added to it, hopefully someone will be able to enlighten us both Smile

Mabsy! Smile Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease. I must admit, my skin was not red when I washed off the masque. I did though, wake up this morning with breakout. Sad Not good. Looks like I'm sticking to Sothys at this stage. It's a bit of a shame really, as I'm sure it does the skin good to have a change now and again, you know, like a little holiday hehehehe. I just need to find something that suits my skin as good as Sothys.
Thanks again Mabsy Smile
Hugsss
