my face has broken out in the past few days. i've got 10 (i counted) pimples on my mouth/chin/cheeks about the size of this evil smiley .
also the far sides of my cheeks - close to my jawline - has always been very soft and acne free. just in the past couple of days, it's become rough.
i can't figure out why either of these two things have happened. i've been avoiding sugar pretty well, which i've tried in the past for about 2 weeks and my face seemed to moderately clear up and i've also been drinking lots of water.
some things i've been doing differently:
1. last friday, i started taking Hyaluronic Acid Supplements for my acne (3 tabs, 2 X daily)
---i thought it was strange for my cheeks to become dry because HA is known for its moisturizing properties
---also strange because it's supposed to help w/ acne.. but i'm expecting that part of it to take a few weeks
2. when putting on make-up, i've been using Monistat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel as a primer
---i read in a past thread about this working great as a primer
---this is probably a contributing culprit and is clogging my pores
3. using different moisturizers
---this is probably messing with my face
---i'm waiting til i earn enough money to splurge on a bottle of Paula's Choice 2% BHA Lotion and in the meantime, have been switching between lotions
4. yes, this is obviously a no-no, but i've been sleeping with my make-up on. it's so hard not to when you want to be.. ermmm.. intimate.. and then just fall asleep. how do you guys deal with that?
ALSO, i have a question relating to #4 that's always been in the back of my mind.....
when you want to be intimate at night, and you're slathering up your face and entire body with these lotions and potions that can be sticky or smelly, how can you enjoy anything? faces are touching as well as bodies, kissing ensues on the lips and on the body, and it just doesn't seem like the best time to be wearing skin products. , i guess this belongs in the EDS Forum. |

hi there... do you think it is stress related?
I have a couple of pimples on my cheek, next to my jaw line, and when I went to the esthetician, she told me that it is stress related. She said that hormonal breakouts will be in the middle of your face. |
