I should have been tipped off when I opened the bottle and the strong odor of alcohol. Do not use unless you want to burn your face off. I bought this stuff the other day as a hold over until my good toner comes in. After washing my face, applied it burned so badly that I had to use cold water to take the stinging out. Afterwards my face looked a little inflammed and reddish (this coming from brown complexed African American) I do not have sensative skin so I just wanted to warn everyone.

I returned it today for a refund.

Yikes! Sorry to hear about your mishap with the toner - I'm always wary of anything that says astringent as I find 9 times out of 10 they are full of alcohol and horribly harsh. Sad

Hope your skin calmes down and your other toner arrives soon.

Sweetie, why are you still wasting money on expensive toners? You need to give the ACV toner a try. Seriously! Like everyone else, I think you'll find that there is no longer any need to purchase expensive toners so that'll mean more money to spend on other necessary items, like eyelash serums and lip plumpers!! Very Happy

Carakate--I tried the homemade AVC toner with the aspirin, witch hazel, alcohol, water, and aloe gel. I didn't like it too much. It was too alcoholish for me and dried my skin.

I've had sucess with regular hydrogine peroxide but my favorite is Mary Kary formula toner.

Try it again without the witch hazel and alcohol -- that's what made it too harsh (especially the alcohol)! Just use ACV and water, or even ACV, water and maybe a splash of aloe gel if you've got sensitive skin. ACV is so inexpensive that this would be one experiment that would break the bank! Man, I wish I’d have known this because I would have included a trial size of my own personal ACV Super Toner recipe when I sent your lash stuff....I guess if you ever place another “order” with me, I can send you the toner next time.

Thanks carekate--I'm greedily awaiting my eyelash serum. Bad Grin

I've been using Mavala for about 3 weeks which I haven't seen much length but my lashes have gotten really thick. I also had a bald spot where I had pulled on lashes due to a wild hair and now the lashes have filled in and grown back.
I think my hubby has been using some on his eyebrow I noticed a blonde hair the other day. Not sure what he's doing in with my eyelash serum maybe he was just checking to see what it was. Rolling Eyes

I will try to make it again without the alcohol(s) or a splash/pinch. Duh?? (that's for me). It does make since to take out the alcohol or use less. Wow--do I feel dumb. Embarassed

I don't know why I didn't ask you to add glycerin and your famous toner to the order. If I need anything else, I'll pm you and I GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.
