I was using clinique skincare for enlarged pores and the oilness, and found it great, but upon a visit to my spa for a treatment they said NO clinique is horrific to the skin, So i bought jurlique for sensitve skin, the calming cleanser, the recovery gel, and the wrinkle smoother cream. So far its nice but now my pores are noticable again...please i need your input on jurlique and if you liked it and what products u used//// |

Nice to hear I'm not the only one who had their pores grow while using Jurlique!
I use Jurlique's Lavendar Silk Dust over my foundation - that product I love!!
However, I have tried their cleansing lotion and their Herbal Recovery Gel - both of which are very popular on these boards. Well, I have to tell you, my pores were NOTICIBLY LARGER alomst immediately, especially after I used the Herbal Recovery Gel. I'm assuming that my skin just did not react well to these plant-based products, or perhaps I am sensitive or allergic. |

I really like the Jurlique line (or the products that I've tried so far). I use the Face Wash Cream and have had great results - no major reduction in pore size but they are cleaner and my skin is much smoother. I also love the silk dust (I use the rose one). My favorite product is the calendula cream - it moisturises my skin, helps heal blemish scars and doesnt make me shiney. I've only tried samples of the Herbal Recovery Gel, so whilst I liked the texture and feel on my skin I can't comment on long term results. |

I love Face Wash Cream too!
Comparing with Dr. H's cleansing cream, Jurlique one is more mild!
I think Face Wash Cream will leave some greasy feeling when I remove it with water, so I would like to use it in winter. |

I don't find it leaves a greasy feeling but my skin does feel like it could go without moisturiser afterwards. I tend to use it more in the winter also and stick to Derm Daily Microfoliant in the summer. |

I like Jurlique as well and honestly found the Face Wash Cream to be as effective as the Dr Hauschka cleansing cream. IMO both of these are great at clearing out pores - at least they were for me. You just need to make sure that you follow directions and don't use it like a normal scrub. |

Hello,
I have used Jurlique products on and off for many years. I have large pores and definitly suffer from blackheads/blocked pores and I love these products yet have noticed my pores were more dilated and congested. So I find mixing it with a stronger product really works well.
Personally I have tried so so many products and have had no real skin changing experiences so I will start to do a series of microdermabrasion and cold laser to help reduce scarring and large pores.

I also had problems with the Herbal Recovery Gel. My skin didn't like it at all. I promptly gave it to a friend . She really liked it, though I don't think she would BUY it for herself. |

I didn't like the recovery gel either.. it felt so tight on my skin, and didn't do much for keeping oil under control |

Hi Princesita,
I want to ask you for advice on Jurlique products. Do you find the calendula cream made a big difference in you skin over a period of time?? Also the face wash cream, at first was your skin bumpy or breaking out??
I think my skin is similar to yours and I really love Jurlique products and want to stick with them. I just need some good advice on how long it may take to notice improvement?
Thank you,

I got a sample of the eye make-up remover which I really liked, it was very gentle, no irritation at all and took off all of my Bare Escentuals black eye liner. |

I am addicted to using jurlique foundation and also use their lipstick in Jarrah. Love them both but havent tried any of their skin care products. I prefer to make my own. |

Feliz - to be perfectly honest it's impossible for me to tell whether it is the calendula cream alone that has caused the improvements in my skin. It has definately helped, and I won't be changing moisturisers anytime soon but I think it's the combo of all the products I use, healthy diet and excercise that have caused the improvement in my skin. I rarely breakout now, my skin is more even and I dont get those flakey patches. As for the face wash cream, it didnt cause any bumps or pimples for me. Though, I had been using Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant before I started on it so my face was already smooth. If your face is bumpy to start with, it may take some time to see improvements. My routine at the moment is:
Cleanse: Derm UltraCalming Cleanser
Exfoliate: Alternate between Jurlique Face Wash Cream and Derm Microfoliant
Tone: whatever samples I have on hand - I'm not picky about toners and havent really found one that makes me go WOW! I like them for spritzing over mineral makeup but that's about it.
Vit C: Vivier 10%
Moisturise: Jurlique Calendula Cream and sometimes pure cold pressed jojoba oil.
Treatments: Dr H Rejuventaing Mask, green clay that I bought from my local healthfood store, asprin mask or Thalgo moisturising mask (I can't remember what it's called).
My skin took at least a couple of months to clear up and settle into the new products when I first started. I think if you're at all sensitive it's best to introduce new things slowly and one at a time.
Let me know how you go with the rest of the Jurlique line, there are still a lot of things that I havent tried!! |

Hi Princesita,
Thanks for the reply and great advice. I did go to my local Jurlique store yesterday and she said the Calendula cream was the best for my skin. I recently had a nice little flare up due to using a suncreen that did not agree with my skin. I had been using some strange products at that time so I purchased the jurlique Ultra Sens Face wash, Ultra Sens toner, moor purifying mask (really good) and already had calendula cream. I have to say the difference in a week is crazy, and I used to just reach for the Dermalogica medicated clearing gel, but the natural products worked better and quicker.
I will try the face wash cream and take it slow. Thanks for your advice as I do the lifestyle stuff I have just been really bad at trying too many new products. I think I will stick with the Jurlique!!!

How is the moor purifying mask? Does your skin feel quite clean after wiping it off?
From looking at the ingredients, I thought it is simlar to Dr H's revitalising mask, but more expensive... |
